Ever since Disney bought LucasFilm, people have been hyped for the next installment in the Star Wars franchise. Now that Episode 7 here, did it live up to the hype? Star Wars The Force Awakens is an epic space opera film directed by J.J. Abrams. The movie stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, Harrison Ford, Lupita Nyong'o, Adam Driver, Carrie Fisher and Andy Serkis. 30 years after The Return of the Jedi, we follow the adventures Rey, Fin and Poe Dameron.

It was too low, too forced, too corny, and not too interesting. Sure, it was nice to see the originals. It was nice to have diversity represented. I love great female heroines (Ripley!). And everything is better with Chewbacca.
In summation, it's a one time viewing. I'm uncertain I'll see it again or any sequels.

I do think it was over hyped but still a great addition to the Star Wars franchise.
