New STAR WARS Movies Could Revert To Original May Release Dates

Disney boss Alan Horn has revealed that the new batch of Star Wars flicks could revert to their original May release dates. That means we'd (potentially) get a Star Wars movie, Captain America 3 and Batman VS. Superman all in the same month in 2016.

In a new interview, Disney Chairman Alan Horn has dropped a few Star Wars updates. He confirms that a second unit has indeed started filming in Abu Dhabi, pretty much also confirming that those snaps we featured last week were from the Star Wars Episode VII set. He also confirms that George Lucas is still a consultant on the first movie, at least. But most interestingly, Horn says that, depending on script readiness, we could actually see the trilogy revert to their original May release dates. That means that a Star Wars film (if Disney/Lucasfilm stick to their "one a year" mandate anyway) could very well open the same month as Marvel's Captain America threequel and Zack Snyder's Batman VS. Superman themed sequel to Man Of Steel. Woah. And speaking of Cap VS. Bats VS. Supes, Horn says that Disney are "struggling" with their decision to hold fast when going up against WB's Man Of Steel sequel..could we see them back down?
