Well it seems common sense has prevailed on this one. With the majority of votes (621, 23.46%) going to the third option
"I'm against changes that make no sense and bring down the quality of certain scenes, but like the updates for special effects etc.". And in second place is the slightly more negative view -
"I think it's a bit silly. We all know and love the movies as they are, why feel the need to alter them in any way?". Indeed.

Apparently in a different cut Lucas actually had Vader should "YEEEEEEESSSSSSS" but he thought that might confuse the audience and make it seem like he was enjoying the Emperor's torture of Luke. So thankfully it was changed at the last minute so there is definitely no confusion. Thanks George.
