Spider-Man 3: Hot Toys Reveals "Bully Maguire" Peter Parker Figure And It's Scarily Realistic

Hot Toys has revealed another shockingly realistic 1/6th-scale figure, this time based on the "Bully Maguire" version of Peter Parker from 2007's Spider-Man 3. And yes, he can dance!

Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy was a game-changer for superhero movies, but it ended on a disappointing note with Spider-Man 3 in 2007.

With one too many villains (it's no secret that Raimi didn't want to include Venom), the threequel ultimately underserved each of them. Still, Spider-Man 3 made $895 million worldwide when it opened, and it holds a so-so 63% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Spider-Man 4 was supposed to follow—with the spotlight put on The Vulture, Black Cat, Lizard, and "Vulturess"—but creative differences with Sony saw the filmmaker leave the project. The Amazing Spider-Man then rebooted the franchise in 2012.

One of the most memorable—for better or worse—parts of Spider-Man 3 saw the Symbiote influence Peter Parker in a bizarre sequence that saw him turn emo and dance down the street.

Now, thanks to Hot Toys, you can relive that with an extremely realistic 1/6th-scale figure based on Spider-Man 3's "Bully Maguire." The figure will be limited to just 2,500 pieces worldwide, so getting your hands on one might be a challenge.

"In Spider-Man 3, the extraterrestrial symbiote doesn't just amplify Peter Parker’s powers, but it completely transforms his personality," reads the Hong Kong-based company's official description. "Overcome by the alien’s dark influence, Peter’s attitude shifts to a rebellious 'I missed the part where that’s my problem' energy, trading his modest, everyday look for a sharp, all-black look."

"Strutting down the streets of New York City, this fiercely confident version of Peter delivered some of the most highly talked-about moments in superhero cinema, crowned by his unforgettable, eccentric sidewalk dance."

Take a closer look at Hot Toys' latest Spider-Man 3 figure in the Instagram gallery below.

Today, Hot Toys is excited to introduce the 1/6th scale Peter Parker Collectible Figure from Spider-Man 3. Based on the screen appearance of Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker, this figure features a finely crafted head sculpt equipped with separate rolling eyeballs. Highlighting his edgy aesthetic, the figure comes dressed in an all-black tailored costume, including suit jacket, shirt, pants, socks, and shoes. To enhance display options, the shirt’s placket area features a magnetic function, allowing collectors to open the shirt to reveal the textured black and silver Spider-Man suit top underneath, and easily snap it back together.

A variety of interchangeable hands allow fans to pose him in his famous web-shooting poses and signature dance moves. To recreate the moments when the alien entity begins to take over, the figure also includes attachable symbiote effects. The set is rounded out with two strings of spider web effects, a black and silver Spider-Man mask, and a specially designed figure stand.

Toby is the real-life Player X from Molly's Game, so "Bully Maguire" is his true form. Art imitates life.
