Eddie Brock is officially joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe (well, one of its parallel realities, at least), as the reporter—who eventually becomes the supervillain Venom—is officially set to appear in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2.
An officially released still from the Marvel Animation series shows Eddie ambushing Harry Osborn, and it seems likely that he'll become Venom heading into the show's planned third season. We know Peter Parker will don the alien costume, and when he inevitably rids himself of it, the Symbiote will surely find its way into Eddie's hands.
The big news today is that Josh Keaton will lend his voice to Eddie. The actor has a long history with the web-slinger, having voiced Peter in The Spectacular Spider-Man and Spider-Man. He also voiced Richard Parker in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man's Season 1 finale. It's unclear whether Keaton will pull double duty in Season 2.
The trailer for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 leaked online during D23, and surprisingly, it hasn't been taken down by Disney as we write this. You can check it out here if you missed it.
Season 2 has been confirmed for a January 2027 launch on Disney+, meaning it will be a busy month for the streamer. Ahsoka Season 2 is also coming that month, meaning we'll kick next year off with plenty of exciting new streaming content.

The head writer is Jeff Trammell, and Mel Zwyer is the supervising director. Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt and Trammell serve as executive producers.
