Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to go down in history as one of the biggest movies ever, and the hope now is that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures will get a sequel in theaters no later than 2029.
While we wait and see what happens with that, filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton has shared two never-before-seen posters for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. @anthonyprinceleslie created these, and we'd suggest checking out his Instagram account for more examples of his amazing work.
The first poster catches us up with Tom Holland's Peter Parker, while the second focuses on Spidey. However, the lens from his mask has been removed, reminding us of the man beneath the spider costume.
During a recent interview with The Credits, Spider-Man: Brand New Day Costume Designer Sanja Milkovic talked about reimagining the wall-crawler's suit for his latest solo outing. The priority was ensuring that it looked like a classic homemade costume.
"Peter is on his own; there is no Stark Industries anymore, so the conversations were about how he gets the new suit. He has to make it himself without nanobots and whatever Stark Industries was helping him with. The whole story is human and personal, so director Destin Daniel Cretton wanted the suit to look simpler and homemade. There was always talk about not using CGI in post-production to iron out the wrinkles and so on."
"They really wanted to make him much more believable and approachable and for the suit to be more like in the comics. Tom got involved in the conversation very early on. I’m not sure who initiated that, and I was not privy to it, but he had seen Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire’s suits, and he wanted to include the best aspects of those. Tom was going to wear the suit 80 percent of the time in this film, and he has never been in the suit this much before."
