SUICIDE SQUAD Director David Ayer Reveals Which DC Comics Villain Didn't Make It Into Task Force X

During a Twitter Q&A earlier today, Suicide Squad director David Ayer revealed which comic book villain he decided against including in the movie, why exactly that was, and who replaced them...

There were rumours a long time ago that King Shark would make a cameo appearance in the bowels of Belle Reve in Suicide Squad, but director David Ayer has revealed today that he originally wanted to make the villain a full-fledged member of Task Force X. However, there was one big reason why that didn't happen, and as you can see below, it boiled down to him not wanting a 100% CGI character.

"One of the characters I was thinking about for the squad line-up was King Shark, but we realised it would take a lot of work - a lot of CG work," he revealed before explaining which villain replaced him. "We actually ended up going with Killer Croc who turned out to be the right guy for the job."

Whether or not we'll end up getting to see King Shark in Suicide Squad remains to be seen, but it sounds unlikely based on these comments. You have to hand it to Ayer for wanting to keep things grounded, though if The Flash can pull off this fully CGI villain, then this movie probably could have!

Hopefully King Shark will get to be in the sequel. Seeing as I doubt a live action Street Sharks movie is coming out, this would be the next best thing for Shark Week. Plus then King Shark can retake his throne that Sharknado stole from him.
