According to the GeelongInfo which is based in Australia, it has been confirmed that the 12 Apostles rock formation will be featured in the anticipated Superman Returns film. Although apparently Brandon Routh (Superman) nor any other actor will be part of the filming on the Great Ocean Road.

The 12 Apostles will become Kryptonite as Superman returns to Earth.

According to a publicity spokesman for Fox Studios, Joe Everett: "They might not look exactly like the rocks in the movie".

Mr Everett said he could only say the 12 Apostles were this week being filmed for the Superman Returns movie.

"I can't tell you how they will be used. All the plot line stuff we're not allowed to speak of."

About 20 "visual effects unit" crew spent Wednesday, Thursday and yesterday shooting the 12 Apostles from a helicopter.

Fox did not have to get a permit for the filming because it took place from the air, but a Parks Victoria spokeswoman confirmed the group had entered a "goodwill" agreement with the government department.

Meanwhile, Movie-Infos has revealed a new picture of Lois Lane (Kate Bosworth) from Superman Returns which can be seen below.
