The series, an adaptation of the Robert Kirkman comic, is written, produced and directed by Frank Darabont and executive produced by Gale Anne Hurd. The show will apparently be a very faithful adaptation of the comic about a group of survivors in a zombie infested world led by main protagonist Ric Grimes(Andrew Lincoln).
I have only read the first few issue of this but if you think its just your standard run of the mill survival/zombie horror then think again. This one is all about the characters, and how wonderfully written they are too. I hope the show follows suit...I need something to fill the void after
