The fourth season of Supergirl has already recruited several new cast members, including Nicole Raimes as Dreamer and Sam Witwer as Agent Liberty, and now another actor has joined the superhero series in a recurring role.

According to reports, Brent Spiner (Star Trek: The Next Generation) has signed on to play the “adept and politically minded” Vice President Baker, who “steps up in a big way when his country needs him most.”

There are no details on how Spiner’s character will step up in the upcoming season, but with the show set to take a few cues from Superman: Red Son, there's a good chance the U.S. government will play a significant role in Kara’s latest journey.

Season 4 of Supergirl will air this fall on Sunday, October 14, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

I just remembered how much of a waste Adrian Pasdar was in season 3. Man did that season drop the ball in so many ways.

@HeavyMetal4Life - everything about this season was just a waste I hope Lena goes evil this season I know their trying to do the smallville thing with lena and Kara but the writing hasn't good enough for it to work

@BoyWonder - I would actually prefer Lena to not turn into a villain. I liked their friendship aspect but became a little disappointed with the "drama" and mistrust. Especially when that same theme was rampant on Arrow.

Pretty cool. Though, if either him or Linda Carter were to be an alien, you'd think it would've been him.

All of the Disney uses of the de-aging special effects really makes me want new stuff with Data... it doesn’t even have to be the top-of-the-line FX work, because Data looking a little plastic and not quite human would be fine.

IIRC the 4th episode will be called "Ahimsa" and it translates to something about politics. Maybe president Marsdin is outed as an alien and the vice now has to step up.

Watch Outcast. A fantastic show that nobody watches based a comic. He plays the villain Sidney to perfection. I think this show is just on the wrong platform.
