DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Season 2, Episode 3 Spoilers: A New Hero AND Villain May Be Coming To Hell's Kitchen

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, Episode 3, "The Scales & the Sword," teases the emergence of a new hero and villain on the streets of Hell's Kitchen, but what does that mean for Daredevil?

Three episodes into Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, and it's looking increasingly unlikely that the Man Without Fear will assemble a team of superheroes to do battle with the villainous Mayor Wilson Fisk.

As much as fans would love a Defenders reunion, that's not the worst decision in the world, as it keeps the focus on Daredevil's very personal war with the Kingpin.

Still, as this corner of the MCU continues to expand, it seems we can expect Hell's Kitchen to add a new hero and villain to its cast. They're only teased in "The Scales & the Sword," but the consequences in the weeks ahead could be seismic.

After being haunted by Muse's spectre in the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 premiere, we learn that Heather Glenn has the serial killer's mask in her possession. Will she eventually don it and become a female Muse?

That would be a big departure from the comic book version of Heather, but there is a female Muse on the page, and that seems to be the direction the MCU is heading in.

A combination of her complicated relationship with Matt (who she doesn't know is Daredevil, remember) and her encounter with the original Muse may be more than enough to send Heather off the deep end. There's clearly something not right with her, and the therapist looks to be heading down a dark path.

Later in Daredevil: Born Again's third episode, we discover that young Angela del Toro is now wearing her uncle's magical amulet. We've already spotted her in a makeshift White Tiger costume in set photos, so this confirms that the teenager's transformation into a superhero in her own right has begun.

In the comics, Angela was an FBI agent before becoming a vigilante, so her arc from here is something of a mystery to us. Still, she could do with a mentor, and characters like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and even Elektra (who takes on a young female protege while serving as Daredevil in the comics) are all possibilities.

In Daredevil: Born Again, survival, resistance and redemption collide as the battle for the soul of New York begins. In Season 2, Mayor Wilson Fisk crushes New York City underfoot as he hunts down public enemy number one, the Hell’s Kitchen vigilante known as Daredevil.

But beneath the horned mask, Matt Murdock will try to fight back from the shadows to tear down the Kingpin’s corrupt empire and redeem his home. Resist. Rebel. Rebuild.

Created by Dario Scardapane, Chris Ord and Matt Corman, Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 stars Charlie Cox as the titular masked vigilante (aka Matt Murdock) and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk.

"A brutal, relentless tour-de-force, Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is a Marvel masterstroke that sees Charlie Cox take the Man Without Fear to unprecedented heights, delivering the definitive take on Daredevil," we said in our 8-episode review published last week.

Daredevil: Born Again is now streaming weekly on Disney+.
