Avengers: Doomsday Leaked Photos Reveal Deadpool, Wolverine, And [Spoiler]'s Surprise MCU Return

With so many AI "leaks" out there, it's hard to know what is and isn't real these days. However, recent months have seen several images—initially dismissed as fakes—confirmed as legitimate, including shots from Spider-Man: Brand New Day showing Jean Grey with The Punisher and Tombstone battling the web-slinger.

Going back to late last year, an entire gallery of character portraits from Avengers: Doomsday appeared online that were quickly labelled as being bogus. The trailers have since confirmed their legitimacy, as did the D23 Special Look, which revealed that the leaked footage of the Multiverse's Mightiest Heroes assembling to battle Doctor Doom's Sentinels was also real.

Now, we have some newly leaked photos featuring Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds), and Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire). We've confirmed that these are real, as have various trusted social media insiders, including Daniel Richtman

In the photos, we see Reynolds suited up as the Merc with the Mouth and a clash between Logan and Spidey. Maguire is wearing a motion-capture costume, and Jackman's mask is clearly set to be added in post-production.

Images of the trio have been circulating for months, but because they were low-res shots enhanced by AI, no one really believed they were from the movie. Now, we know they were, and that Avengers: Doomsday likely does open with an Incursion between Earth-10005 (the X-Men Universe) and the home of Maguire's Peter Parker.

Plot leaks have revealed that the X-Men have fashioned a device to destroy worlds about to collide with their own, similar to the Illuminati in the pages of Jonathan Hickman's New Avengers. While Deadpool escapes, Wolverine and Spider-Man are believed dead after the Incursion, though we'd be gobsmacked if they don't make it back in time for the final battle.

In other news, Loki star Sophia Di Martino may have confirmed that Sylvie will be one of Avengers: Doomsday's Lavertian Witches. The other two are theorised to be Clea and the Scarlet Witch.

Even though Sylvie, a female Loki Variant, has often been more villain than hero in the MCU, it's going to be fascinating to learn what's led to her falling under Doctor Doom's sway and why she's chosen to ally with him. Of course, the same could be said for Doctor Strange.

In Avengers: Doomsday, beloved heroes from three distinct universes will be set on a deadly collision course and face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered.

Avengers: Doomsday stars Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Winston Duke, Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, and Robert Downey Jr. Wyatt Russell, Simu Liu, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Mabel Cadena, Florence Pugh, Danny Ramirez, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, Lewis Pullman, India Rose Hemsworth, and Wesley Holloway all make their Avengers franchise debuts.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps leads Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn join them, as do X-Men franchise stars Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, with Deadpool & Wolverine star Channing Tatum.

The Russo Brothers direct Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars from a screenplay by Stephen McFeely, with whom they previously collaborated on the Avengers and Captain America franchises. The movie is produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, and Jonathan Schwartz, with Callum McDougall serving as executive producer.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released on December 18.

Back in the troll days I enjoyed taking the piss out of the MCU for having bad villians, low stakes and being 'formulaic action comedies'. Since Black panther, Ifinity war and endgame i have completely swung the opposite way 😅

Marvel (for me) have delivered on a lot of the stuff I wanted (darker tones, better villians bigger world ending stakes) and with the multiverse characters (Sony spiderman, Fox men etc) i honestly cant wait for doomsday.

Leaks are ruining the modern super hero flick

@Vigor - yep

Scooper culture and leakers are the worst.

You never get this for any other films/shows because aside from perhaps some here & there , there’s no money in it there aside from these superhero films/shows unfortunately

Lolz, a 5 minute (or less) fight just to entice the blind fandom to flock the theaters.

Nevermind the cheap look, nvm the generic villain sob story, nvm the recycled action set pieces.

What happened to the quality mantra?

Its still thinking this is fake.

Did they really not have the budget to get Wolverine a different suit without the sleeves (he's indoors here so less sun exposure) and the 3 bullet holes that got put there in D&W?

Eh. We'll see i guess.

@UnderBelly - this might take place immediately after deadpool3

@Vigor -

I know it's under Sony, but the end of Spider-Man Far from home LED directly into the start of No way home, and they still changed his suit.

For D&W
They were both out of the suits and with the TVA by the end of the movie, so there was time.

I'm also interested to see how Wolverine interacts with Magneto though, given that they're each from different universes.

Either way, it's probably true their in the movie but still hope the shots are fake.

@HashTagSwagg - Exactly what i said above, but with Reynold insta post months ago, his recent comic-con appearance and now Hugh's D23 video, i think it's pretty clear they're going to be in it. I just hope it's not true that Tobey's universe ends.

OH SHITAKE!! Are we getting an extra slice of MEMBERBERRY PIE for Christmas?

Who's getting Hal Jordaned right out of the gate?

Who doesn't love bringing back beloved characters and killing them to put butts in seats? BRAVO!!

Wolverine has to live or no one will go see the X-MEN reboot, so he's going to make it - I think Tobey is toast tho...plus we have to get Tom Holland in for the BND connection.

PERSONALLY I do have to agree with some of the negative YOU Tube podcasters and you know who they are who hate Marvel Studios with a passion and swear this film is just going to be a glorified Marvel Cameo fest. And yes I believe that it will fail with movie critics, but it will still make 2 billion dollars at the box office. And the same podcast as we'll call it a failure because it didn't make 3 billion dollars

It would be an emotional gut punch to start the movie like this, as long as Deadpool doesn't put a pin in the tension with too much fourth wall breaking or ass jokes.

If there's one thing you can count on the MCU for, it's bringing out of contrarians the iniability to hide their true feelings.

Keep getting played, trolls.

Has to be fake…. Same three bullet holes in the exact costume that exploded off of him when he stopped Casandra Nova ?
