Why I feel waiting for the Berserker can be painful.

Why I feel waiting for the Berserker can be painful.

Why I feel waiting for the berderker Wolverine to show up on screen can be painful and how lowing our standards can be the best way to enjoy these movies.

From when I was a child to today I loved movie trailers. I would always get to the movie ten minutes before start time so I would not miss what new movies were coming out later in the year. The movie trailers are always better then the movies majority of the time. Considering there are a few directors that can deliver everything in tone, excitement and what you expected in the movie, it may match or exceed the trailer. That being said, I love trailers sometimes more than the movie. Since Wolverine is the topic of discussion I liked the US Domestic trailer of the Wolverine. if you have not seen it you can watch here. Take your time, I will wait.

Now I liked that trailer. I don't know how the movie is going to be, but I liked the trailer. It shows alot of Depth and epicness, but a weaker Wolverine through story of losing his healing powers. This trailer shows no standout beserker moments of Wolverine. Hugh Jackman looks the same in this trailer like he did in all the other X-men movies, with no change to his piss factor. Hopefully that will change in the movie. Now here is the trailer to X-men origins Wolverine which I believe was an excellent trailer and the definitive Wolverine trailer, despite how the movie was and what you expected from it. You can take a minute and watch it, from a trailer standpoint.

Now from that trailer people expected alot and for good reason. I still feel it was a good movie but from a Wolverine berserker standpoint No! Because Logan was more non-violent in the beginning of the movie than he was in any other movie which shocked me. From tnat point I see why people hated it. Wolverine was telling Sabertooth we don't kill people? What? Marvel tried to make Wolverine into a role model and sell toys, that why it's a two-edged sword when you have a popular character. This all started in the first X-men movie where Logan was sympathic to Rogue and hugging her and stuff, I was like Wolverine is not like that. They did not know how to portray a violent character when majority of the time he is angry and cutting people up. In X2 we saw a great introduction to the berserker Wolverine in the mansion fight where Wolverine is cutting faces and stabbing guys and feet in the kitchen. I got excited, but that's all you got.

That why X-men origins Wolverine was so anticipated and a no brainer for the Berserker Wolverine to debut. In origins Wolverine did some cool stuff but, it is still marvel beating around the bush from us geting the berserker Wolverine and an R rating and them wanting to make Wo;verine into Clark Gabiel. X-men origins was not a bad movie, but if you wanted a solo Wolverine Berserker movie. You were robbed. So hopefully we get that with this new movie the Wolverine, but showing a Wolverine that is losing his powers i don't know if that will make him go more berserk maybe it will. only time will tell, because this is the only time he can go berserk and it mean something because he is fighting humans. In the next movie he is going to be fighting robots. So here's to the wolverine! Hoping we get limbs off and blood all over the place.

SpidaTrav

P.S. We may have to lower our expectations to enjoy these films. Waiting for Wolverine and his berserker rage was like waiting for Spider-man to have his sense of humor in his films. Here's hoping we don't have to wait any longer.

@ SpidaTrav

I get what you're saying about the berserker rage. I'm a HUGE Wolverine fan and I think that it would be nice to see it but it's just that the FOX got no balls :P

@ LEVI

I'm not trying to get into an argument with you, but your comment about the Lizard in TASM being worse than Freeze in Batman and Robin made me facepalm. I mean, yeah, they could have done him better but to say that he's worse than Freeze is just ludicris. No offense.

Lol really you mother[frick]ers gotta be high to be comparing TASM to Batman & Robin, I mean seriously is the movie great [frick] no, is it the worst CBM ever made hell no its an average flick thats it nothing more nothing less.

Now lets talk about the Wolverine! Oh boy I don't if its just me but from the trailers it looks like Wolvie takes the cure, he actually chooses to lose his healing abilities that just don't make no sense. I mean I'm down with him losing his healing factor and shit but by choice that just feels out of character for the Wolverine we've seen on the big screen. Also I get the feeling that the people making this movie or who ever was editing the trailer don't get the fact that his healing ability has nothing do with project X.

Also I gotta back LEVI's point about I don't need to see every damn thing from the comic book if they change things then thats cool long as it works in the movie I'm cool. The only thing I don't want to see is characters get [frick]ed over, (which is what happened in Origin) they have to retain the core trait that makes them the character we love and know.

@LEVI Wow. No offense dude but what you just said is one of the most stupid things I've ever heard. The lizards problem was that it was too rushed and curt Connors was underdeveloped. Mr freeze from batman and robin is possibly one of the worst things ever written. You go way too over the top on TASM. You clearly weren't going into the movie with an open mind. You look at some of your comments about the movie where you'll say it's a piece of shit then on the same page say you haven't seen it yet.

@Levitikuz
There've been tons of worse on screen villains than Lizard.

Mr. Freeze
Bane (in Batman & Robin, not TDKR that one was awesome)
Dr. Doom
And Crimson Dyna-...I mean Whiplash....I mean Crimson Dynamo...or is it Whiplash?
Venom (I'm actually a huge Venom fan, but he totally sucked in SM3)

There has been tons of worse on screen villains.

Preparing to lower your expectations for a movie usually means you're not going to fully enjoy it. Because somewhere in the corner of your brain, you're simultaneously thinking: "this is kinda stupid."

That said, I'm going to go into the theater the same way I did with First Class. Going to see it as a movie that just so happens to share the name of a Marvel character. I'm not the biggest Wolverine fan, but I am a fan of Hugh Jackman.

I don't see movies with the intention of picking them apart, you know, regardless of how cynical I come across. Hell, I went to see Predators with my sister because I correctly assumed it was going to be like Team Fortress 2 vs Predators. I thought it was a lot of fun that way, regardless of it being just a dumb action/sci-fi movie.

Point is, you need to be in the right mindset. Are you going to have fun at the movies or are you going to just see it out of some fan-based obligation/curiosity?

Once I'm in, the movie's on it's own. At that point, it's the movie's job to make me like it. Pretty simple.

I'm sure if Marvel had a say in fox films Galactus would not be a could and Deadpool would look nothing like he was portrayed in Origins... I'm with JokerFanHAhaHA

Marvel would deffinately give us the Wolverine we deserve! Full costume too

No offense but if you think Marvel Studios has any say in the other studios properties then you might be delusional. Thats like saying Paramount has a say in what happens in Avengers and IM3. They don't!

Also I hope it isn't the whole Spider-Man 2 thing either were he loses his powers because he doesn't want to be Spider-Man and then gains them back because he wants (boy that shit just didn't work but the train throwdown made up for it).

What I'm hoping is that he refuses the cure after some back and forth with his conscious but chooses to stay in Japan coz of the girl, Because of Mariko. Gets caught up in the Yakuza's fight and what not.

Wow you sound like a whiny bitch and thats just through the computer can't imagine what you sound like in real.

I don't think you understand how it works if some ones credited as an executive producer it don't mean shit, the main dogs are the ones that are credited as actual producers. Stan Lee's billed as an Executive producer, the same as Avi Arad in X-Men, so does that mean that they consulted with Stan Lee whilst making the movie [frick] no!.

SpidaTrav is coming across an idiot JokerFan. It's quite clear marvel don't have the final say in fox/Sony films - you just have to watch them. They use marvel for the chatacters & source material. How Sony/fox put it across on the big screen has nothing to do with marvel

One word of many for proof - Deadpool....

All you have to do SpidaTrav is watch a Marvel Cinematic movie and there's your proof. That's why them films are way closer to the comics we love compared to a sony or fox film

I thought him popping out his claws and screaming till his face turned bright red in X-Men 2, 3, and Origins WAS the beserker rage.

Marvel studios is just like Sony and fox they both make good and bad movies. Marvel just makes bad movies that are close to the comics.
