Paramount Pictures is starting to get serious about a fourth installment into the 'Mission: Impossible' series. They have signed on Tom Cruise to reprise his starring role as Ethan Hunt. They have also landed Jeremy Renner to play his sidekick in the film, along with Simon Pegg set to reprise his role of Benji Dunn.
Now actress Paula Patton has joined the cast, picked out of a number of actresses including Lauren German, Kristen Kreuk, and Elena Satine to play the female lead in the film. Patton's role in the film is currently unknown, and will she be the love interest to either Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt or Jeremy Renner's character. Who knows at this point?
'Mission: Impossible IV' is set for a December 16, 2011 release date with Brad Bird helming the film.
