The Metal Men are a team of robot superheroes created by writer Robert Kanigher, pencilled by Ross Andru and inked by Mike Esposito for DC Comics in 1962. They made their first appearance in Showcase #37-40 as part of a four-issue series created as a last-minute filler feature. They proved unexpectedly popular and the characters were revived for more stories under their own title and had subsequent appearances in various series in the DC Universe.

The official synopsis of episode titled "Clash of the Metal Men":

Batman is introduced to a team of energetic androids known as the Metal Men. When their creator goes missing at the hands of the Gas Gang, Batman helps them track the villains to get him back.

This episode will air Friday, January 27 at 7:30 p.m. on Cartoon Network, many thanks to the guys at CBR for the video clip and pics, link below.

LEEE777 - Anyone that's read a Metal Men comic knows how great they are. It's fantastic to see their debut in all their glory in the new Batman cartoon show. I might add it is worth watching on Cartoon Network. Hey one day maybe we'll get a big budget feature film from Warner Bros. fingers crossed.
