Lanterns hasn't been officially renewed for a second season, but Damon Lindelof has confirmed that more episodes are in the early planning stages, and a new writing team has been assembled.
The first season only featured appearances from a few Green Lanterns (Hal Jordan, John Stewart, Guy Gardner, and we'll count Sinestro), but Ch'p and Mogu the Living Planet were mentioned, and if the show does continue, the DCU debut of at least one more Corps member is a strong possibility.
During an interview with The Ringer-Verse, showrunner Chris Mundy was asked whether we might see another GL join the show as John Stewart's new partner in season 2.
"Vanessa [Baden Kelly]'s been talking a big Kilowog game for a long time. We've tossed out a lot of different things"
Introduced in the late '80s, Kilowog was a highly-respected trainee of new GL recruits. The character has made several appearances in other mediums over the years, and has been voiced by the likes of Michael Clarke Duncan, Kevin Michael Richardson, Dennis Haysbert, and Henry Rollins.
Social media is already full of memes featuring Reacher star Alan Ritchson as Kilowog in his human disguise, since, despite featuring a number of alien characters, the first season of Lanterns only briefly showed the true form of one of the Guardians from behind (along with Sinestro since he's just a guy with purple skin).
Mundy is expected to return as showrunner, without writers Damon Lindelof and Tom King. New scribes Christopher Cantwell, Nakkiah Lui, Zack Whedon, and Selwyn Seyfu Hinds will join Baden Kelly.
