Is The Avengers: Doomsday Leaked Footage Real? Everything You Need To Know Explained

A huge Avengers: Doomsday footage leak appears to reveal the Multiverse's Mightiest Heroes assembling to fight Doctor Doom, but is it the real deal or an AI fake? Here's a full breakdown.

Last weekend, not one, but two trailers for Spider-Man: Brand New Day leaked online. As we write this, it's not remotely difficult to find 4K versions of both on social media. Sony Pictures is moving fast to take them down, but it's become nearly impossible for the studio to keep a lid on it before Wednesday's official release.

Last night, a clip from Avengers: Doomsday showed up on social media. It being so heavily pixelated means there's no way to tell whether it's real or an AI-generated fake that's deliberately blurred. However, there's compelling evidence to suggest all might not be as it seems.

For starters, very early in the clip, we see Thor and Steve Rogers standing side by side, with the latter catching Mjolnir. Then, for some reason, they jump into the frame for a second time. That could be clunky editing in an unfinished clip, but something doesn't quite sit right (the final shot of a Sentinel blasting energy from its hands also looks off).

Of course, all of that can be put down to rough VFX and poor-quality footage, but it's worth noting that this scene almost perfectly matches several supposed plot leaks, rumours, and costume photos, meaning it shows nothing we didn't already know. It's also terribly convenient that the one Avengers: Doomsday clip to leak online—without explanation—is the epic "assemble" moment from the movie.

Still, with interest in the MCU waning, this could be the money shot from an upcoming trailer, spoilers be damned.

Several online scoopers have been quick to say it's real, but that's a very good way to generate easy engagement. Look no further than Daniel Richtman, who posted, "There’s a photo of Wolverine, Spider-Man and Deadpool from Avengers Doomsday out there and it’s 100% real." A few hours later, a similarly pixelated video of that trio walking through the TVA is already on social media.

At a time when real and fake leaks are circulated in Discord groups, we're seeing an endless cycle of them feeding each other. Something real surfaces, followed by countless fakes, or vice versa, leaving fans more confused than ever about what can be trusted.

We can't 100% discount the footage leak being real, but here's the kicker: Disney hasn't hit a single account on X with a copyright takedown. That could change in the coming hours, but a leak of this magnitude still being readily available doesn't add up to us. We also have word from a CinemaCon attendee that the footage doesn't match what was shown there.

Check out this "leaked" Avengers: Doomsday clip below, and let us know your thoughts on its authenticity in the comments section below.

In Avengers: Doomsday, beloved heroes from three distinct universes will be set on a deadly collision course and face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered.

Avengers: Doomsday stars Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Winston Duke, Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, and Robert Downey Jr. Wyatt Russell, Simu Liu, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Mabel Cadena, Florence Pugh, Danny Ramirez, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, Lewis Pullman, India Rose Hemsworth, and Wesley Holloway all make their Avengers franchise debuts.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps leads Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn join them, as do X-Men franchise stars Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, with Deadpool & Wolverine star Channing Tatum.

The Russo Brothers direct Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars from a screenplay by Stephen McFeely, with whom they previously collaborated on the Avengers and Captain America franchises. The movie is produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, and Jonathan Schwartz, with Callum McDougall serving as executive producer.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released on December 18.

It has the same camera movements as that idiotic all girl scene in endgame. It is real imo

Another thing that the Russos cant do is setting up an action sequence in a populated area. It gets tiring really. Im trying to recall all the set pieces from IW and Endgame and nothing compares to how Whedon did it with Avengers 1 and 2 or Gunn's GOTG.

The closest I can recall are some scenes from CAWS and CW but those were executed easily such that the people are just absent with no interactions with the heroes/villains at all

This clip is so generic pure cgi slop. Cant even make the effort to have everyone be there.

@vectorsigma - I find your criticism of Marvel and the Russos so funny. Not because I don't agree with you, I definitely do. The Russos are overrated hacks and terrible directors proven by the garbage they've made outside of the MCU but ALL of these criticisms apply to Gunn. The action sequences in that film looked like complete and utter cgi vomit dogshit in the vein of The Flash 2023 and the fish lens he uses creates an awful effect and awful camerawork.

@FireGunn - oh wow you agree with me.

You shoyldve had something there if it werent for you implying that Gunn directed The Flash 😅
FireGunn
FireGunn - 6/14/2026, 10:19 AM
@vectorsigma - I didn't imply that Gunn directed the Flash. No idea where you got that from. I said his action sequences look similar to the action sequences of that. Especially in Superman 2025

@FireGunn - ill give you examples of great execution from Gunn

- Suicide Squad, Harley scene with the flowers
- Superman fortress scene
- Superman kaiju scene

- Superman mr terrific scene
- superman vs engr and ultraman

@FireGunn - Except... This isn't a movie outside the MCU, which all 4 movies they've done have been universally praised and made a s#!t ton of money. Sure, they may be one trick ponies, but so far, that one trick has worked out really well in the MCU.

@Patient2670 - Winter Soldier - Incredible
Civil War - Mid af
Infinity War - Top 5 CBM ever
Endgame - Horrible with good fanservice

Overrated hacks
Patient2670
Patient2670 - 6/14/2026, 1:00 PM
@FireGunn - Entirely entitled to your opinion. But all 4 of those movies are undoubtedly beloved among MCU fans and stand out as favorites to the vast majority. I'm by no means demanding that you agree whit those opinions, but you can't say that the Russos are entirely incapaable of making movies.

If you don't mind an honest question - do you (or did you ever) have desires or ambitions to be involved in the film business, in any way? Meaning did you ever want to be a writer, producer, director or even an actor or cinematographer?

This isn't me trolling, I promise. I'm genuinely curious.

When in doubt, always remember the Nintendo rule:
"It's only canon if it gets taken down."

The fact alone that this has remained online since yesterday is enough to indicate that it's probably fake as f#ck.

Looks ai, If its true they could have at least put Cap in his stealth suit, having Cap running about the whole film with a bland ass t-shirt is not gonna be good for merchandise.

It looks fake. I'll be believe it when I see the movie.
malschla
malschla - 6/14/2026, 9:38 AM
It looks fake because it has some almost exact copies of previous avengers scenes/camera angles.

What is causing people to think it looks real seems like confirmation bias: “it looks like what I think the Russos would do”. But, to me, it looks more like a fan copy of what they think the Russo would shoot. Especially that rotating around the encircled group shot.
Ocelot
Ocelot - 6/14/2026, 9:45 AM
I would lean towards it being real. Marvel & Disney are out of ideas and would 100% try to recreate a shot from a 14 year old movie than come up with something new. It’s the exact reason why Chris Evans and RDJ are back.
LoudLon
LoudLon - 6/14/2026, 10:07 AM
The low quality is actually what convinces me this is fake. It's just bad enough that you can't make out faces, which is typical of poor quality AI slop. And in this era of hi-def, the footage looks like something being buffered on Real Player circa 2001. The camera movements and blocking are another indicator. Where are these characters suddenly dropping into frame coming from? And that rotating shot revealing the gathered heroes, nearly identical to the iconic rotating shot from The Avengers, directed by someone with a completely different visual style than the Russos.

Nah. Fan-made garbage. If it turns out to be legit, I'll shit and fall back in it.
