BLACK ADAM Producer "Frustrated" By The Movie's Big Cameo Leak - SPOILERS

Though he really should have a word with star Dwayne Johnson, Black Adam producer Hiram Garcia has expressed his frustration that the movie's big cameo leaked online prior to release. Spoilers ahead...

Major spoilers for Black Adam follow.

Unexpected character cameos are almost par for the course with superhero movies these days, and studios will usually do their utmost to keep a lid on any major surprises for as long as possible. This has becoming increasingly difficult in this age of scoops, leaks and spoilers finding their way online so frequently, and we learned about Superman's appearance in Black Adam quite a while before the movie hit theaters.

While speaking to /Film, producer Hiram Garcia expressed his frustration with the post-credits scene featuring Henry Cavill's Man of Steel leaking so early.

“Oh my God, it is so frustrating,” he said. “You work so hard, but look, we understand that this ending and this dream, this family dream that we had to bring to life, we knew that it was going to have an effect on the fans that were just like, 'Oh my God!' We heard them begging for it for so long.”

While these sort of leaks are unfortunate, it's worth pointing out that star Dwayne Johnson all-but gave the game away himself while promoting the movie! Warner Bros.' marketing team has also wasted little time in capitalizing on Supes' involvement (see below).

We recently learned that Warner Bros. Discovery is tentatively planning at least one more solo Superman movie starring Cavill, but it doesn't sound like anything is set in stone just yet. At any rate, setting-up Black Adam vs. Superman as one of the building blocks of the "new DCEU" is certainly not a bad place to start.

Have you been to see Black Adam yet? If so, what did you think? Were you aware of the Superman cameo beforehand? Be sure to drop us a comment down below.

@Antitrollpatrol - Grace? the one that said "Ben will not be Batman again " & " No one wants to work with Cavill" ...she even disputed the Cavill spoiler a few months ago...shes a hack lol

@newmutantsRETURNS - Affleck was pretty much done with Batman until they changed the release schedule. Keaton was supposed to be in Aquaman 2, but is now replaced with Affleck because The Flash comes out next year.

Cavill only filmed his cameo in September after Johnson convinced him after the Comic Con crowd reaction.

Grace was right that Cavill wasn't coming back a few months ago. Yes, Superman was in the movie, but it was a faceless cameo like in Shazam!

This has been reported by multiple people.

@Unites - After that Cathy Yan backslap to Grace regarding BOP reshoots, I just stopped listening to her,,,didn't she say that Bane was to appear in TSS and James Gunn had to backslap her also?

@newmutantsRETURNS - Yeah, personally I think that Cathy Yan story is a bit weird. If I recall correctly, Grace reported that the Diamond originally contained a d*ck pic of Black Mask.

But, according to Yan, it was a pic of a Roman statue of him. In both cases, it would be a pic of his nude body.

She was indeed wrong about Bane.

But just like all scoopers, she has been wrong about multiple things. I still think she has a pretty solid track record.

The cameo is pretty much the worst kept secret. I don't think it leaking ruined it, but the constant teasing it did

@bkmeijer1 - really? Pretty sure the worst kept secret was Tobey maguire and Andrew Garfield in no way home.

@Origame - yeah, that was a pretty big one as well. Still wish Garfield just kept denying it, even after the premiere

@bkmeijer1 - just on with Kimmel.

Kimmel: "hey what was it like working on no way home?"

Garfield: "what are you talking about? I wasn't in it. It's like I'm playing werewolf and no one believes I'm not the werewolf!"

It wasn't a leak it was used as marketing by the main actor of the movie. Get mad at the Rock if you are mad ant anyone.

@mountainman - My though exactly. it was the Rock who announced it officially to sell the movie. Before that, I was not taking those claims as serious.

Why? Tbh it’s the thing a lot of us are going to the theater to experience. The buzz for this was pretty quiet up until the leak and now everyone is talking about it

It's like we forget that after credit scenes are 'cherries on top', got to have a worthy sundae or people are going JUST for a two min tease.
