MAC- They're rewriting Batman's beginings, and it obviously doesn't happen in 1940, if they were writing the series like that, Batman would be dead in modern times.

Yeah, but why does it say 6 years earlier? Why would this apparently take place in 1940!? Does this story even feature other Batman characters like Alfred, Gordon, Harvey, etc, etc.

Its saying that what is happening in Gotham is happening 6 years earlier than the current time. Tokyo 1946 probably plays into the story at some point.

As much as I enjoyed Miller's Batman year one, I prefer a more seasoned Batman. That being said, it's nice to see Batman get his ass handed to him. Batman is always coolest in the second round of a fight. After he's shaken off an early loss.

And Gusto, that is just so wrong man. Have you no shame, good sir?

It does feature other characters but this batman is completely different to miller's batman whilst the present day batman is very has quite a few similarities to miller's batman.
