EDITORIAL: 3 Things I want to See in the TMNT Reboot

In this editorial, I count the three things I want to see in the upcoming TMNT reboot...

I like the TMNT franchise. (The 2003 series anyway.) The most recent theater movie, TMNT was not bad. (It was lacking the Shredder.) It was open for a sequel, but it never went into production. Now word is a live-action reboot is in the works. That could be interesting, if done right. Now here are three things I want to see in the film.

3. Mousers

The Mousers are some of of the Turtle's deadliest enemies. They would be cool to see on the big screen.

2. Baxter Stockman

You can't have the Mousers without their creator. Baxter Stockman makes a great sinister scientist, and an ally of the Shredder.

And the number one thing I want to see is...

1. 2003 based Shredder

The Shredder from the 2003 TMNT series is by far the most lethal and the coolest. The 80's Shredder was used for comic-relief. I want to see the Shredder based on the 2003 series.

And those are the three things I want to see in the film.

Who said anything about Michael bay directing this? The other article certainly didnt.

Deadline.com is reporting that MICHAEL BAY'S COMPANY is PRODUCING it, but they're going to shop it out to other directors. Which is a very good thing.

Don't give people heart attacks, Destroyer, lol. I don't think anyone wants Michael Bay to direct.

im on board with your first two! but i'd prefer a more classic looking shredder. what i liked so much about the first movie was how it used real martial arts and did realistic looking fight scenes. i want that back for this movie! i want people in suits doing real kung-fu! so im adding a forth to your list...

4) REAL KUNG-FU. MINIMAL CGI

:)

here's to hoping this movie kicks ass!

Yeah, I've been busy. I want the TMNT reboot to be like the 2003 series, with of course a few tweaks for the general audience.

I prefer The Shredder from original graphic novels! 2003 version is ok, but when they revealed that he was really a Alien! I lost my interest in the 2003 series!

In rebooting the TMNT, Baxter Stockman and the mousers would best be saved for a sequel. The Shredder from the 2003 series was closer in relation to the original Shredder than the 1980's cartoon Shredder, but I'd rather see the original Oroku Saki (the one that isn't an alien). The first film in the reboot franchise should focus solely on the turtles facing Saki, even leaving out April and Casey as they weren't present in the first turtles' story.
