We originally assumed because Man of Steel would be dealing with Clark Kent before he became Superman that we would be seeing a young actor fill Supes boots - but after Armie Hammer let slip that the producers may be going for a middle aged actor for the role - Jon Hamm and Brandon Routh are suddenly back in the action.

The picture below shows what we might be seeing in the near future - although I would like to see a modern suit rather than the one pictured...

As much s I like JON HAMM as an actor...

I love 'MAD MEN!'

He ain't Superman tho!

Perfect SUPER MAX (older) Ollie Queen (plays him every week practically) or Reed Richards, the human BEAST (X-men), or the guy that leads the METAL MEN, but the best DC wise... he makes much better J'ONN J'ONNZ!



I can find a dozen decent HENRY CAVIL as SUPERMAN photoshop pis out there!

Ahhhhh if only there was some of OWAIN YEOMAN! : (

I am not sure who I would like as Superman, I liked Routh - I think he did a good job! I would like to see a young new actor play him - start a new mythology based on the one we all know and love!

Ya know seeing Hamm in the suit kinda makes me think
that he ain't so good for Supes, after all! He's just
too old.

It needs to be someone in their mid 30's like Bale...

I think Welling should play Superman in the film, it makes perfect sense after 10 years of Clark Kent on TV and with smallville ending this year. I hope he is at least considered

It 'IS' a damm excellent manip but Hamm
seems all wrong the longer I look at it! LOL
But he would be OK as Green Arrow.

before a geezer like Hamm (not that I have

But if a person watches Tom in any of his big
screen roles it's painfully clear that he is
sorely lacking in thespian abilities! And that's
putting it mildly! LOL

But I still think Snyder could pull off a decent
performance from Welling as Supes. But Snyder
tends to go for better actors for the roles in
his movies! Nolan does that too! That's why their
movies are usually superior to most! Well, at
least that's ONE of the reasons their movies are
superior, that and they are frakking geniuses! LOL

As for Martian Manhunter I like the idea of an
African America DET. JOHN JONES. It diversifies
the JLA more! Makes it more colorful in more ways
than one!

DDD: Im no fan of Tom Welling for big screen
SUPERMAN ,but if he could somehow pull it
off he'd be almost perfect
so I somewhat hear you!! I'd put him
on a rigous workout and diet program because
the guy body looks like CRAP for the role of
SUPERMAN. ORDINARY JOE I guess he's fine but
right now he doesnt have a heroic build!!

How about this dude? Jamie Baber! He is new in acting but he did a great job as Lee Abama in BSG, and he is not super famous that couldnt get tied up for many roles ahead. He has a strong built but I still think he needs to get bigger. All the contestants, need to get a whole lot bigger. This is no f*cking spiderman.

Oh and to those judging Jon Hamm based on this MANIP...come on this pic is VERY fake and doctored. I'm sure with Snyder as director and hollywood makeup and designs i highly doubt this is what Hamm would look like as Superman in the actual film. Just someone who's "anti-Jon Hamm" made this picture.
