Fresh off bonding on the set of Henry Cavill’s Highlander reboot, Russell Crowe and WWE star Drew McIntyre are already reteaming for another fantasy action pic, albeit this one is more historically accurate.

According to Deadline, the pair will share the screen in The Last Druid, a film with a synopsis that reads, "the movie will tell the story of a Roman Emperor who discovers a secluded Druid stronghold in the mountains of Caledonia. A peaceful Celtic elder (Crowe) must take up arms to protect his family and people from annihilation. "

The cast is shaping up to be a strong one, featuring several fantasy veterans including Game of Thrones alum Rose Leslie, Stacy Clausen (Leviticus), Pablo Derqui (Julia’s Eyes), and even Crowe’s son, Tennyson.

Andreas Pietschmann, star of Netflix's Dark, and Daniel Zovatto (Woman of the Hour) round out the ensemble.

William Eubank (Underwater, Land of Bad) is directing The Last Druid, working from a screenplay he penned alongside his brother, Carlyle Eubank (The Signal, Muzzle), and playwright Phil Gawthorne.

Filming on the historical fantasy drama kicked off in May and recently wrapped earlier this week. McIntyre recently shared a training pic of himself and Crowe on what clearly appears to be an arms training session.

Crowe also shared the pic on his Instagram, adding the caption, "In the gym with Drew McIntyre. Good lad. Salt of the earth. Just finishing up the shoot on The Last Druid. We have been shooting in Spain since May. It has been two years now since playing Hermann Goering in Nuremberg. The long sweaty days in the beautiful Spanish sunshine have definitely been a great motivator. As I always say, it’s one layer of tissue paper at a time. Consistency is your friend."

Crowe and McIntyre went straight from filming Cavill's Highlander to shooting The Last Druid.

Highlander was originally slated to wrap much earlier in the year, but the production suffered a setback after Henry Cavill injured his ankle. The January shoot didn't wrap until June.

In Highlander, Crowe is portraying Ramirez, a role previously portrayed by Sean Connery in the original Highlander film. McIntyre is playing Cavill's brother in the pic, Angus MacLeod.

We don't have an exact calendar date on the calendar just yet, but Amazon MGM Studios is aiming to bring Henry Cavill's Highlander reboot to theaters in late 2027 under the revived United Artists banner.

Crowe hasn’t made a good movie in a long time. Fatboy lost a little weight, still expecting trash.

I know this is totally off-topic, but does anybody know a song that says “I’ve been waiting for you all my life now you’re here and it just feels so right”? It’s driving me insane and my niece has been trying to figure it out because she wants to know. Google ain’t no help.
