While it's been rumored for some time, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced that Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey will finally arrive on Digital, 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray on November 17th!
Each version of the release will feature an extensive twelve-part behind-the-scenes documentary, personally overseen by Christopher Nolan. "This collection of 12 in-depth special features takes audiences inside every aspect of THE ODYSSEY's ambitious production through exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with Nolan alongside key cast and crew who brought the epic to life. Together, these pieces showcase the artistry, innovation, and craftsmanship behind the landmark adaptation of Homer’s legendary tale. Read further for more details!
As for the physical release, The Odyssey will be released on standard 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD - all of which are currently available to pre-order on Amazon and Walmart.
For diehard fans, there's also a Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD Steelbook for $39.99 and a Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD Premium Giftset for $299.99.
The Odyssey Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD Premium Giftset includes an Exclusive 4K Ultra HD Steelbook, an Authentic IMAX 70MM film cell & decorative display holder, a limited edition copy of the Filming The Odyssey book, and a numbered Certificate of Authenticity, which will be out of 5000.
Both the Steelbook and Giftset are already sold out, but we'd recommend checking over the next few weeks as there will likely be some cancelations and/or restockings.
