The biggest mystery in the MCU right now is how and why Victor Von Doom looks exactly like Tony Stark.
Are Marvel and the Russo brothers actually going to unpack the terrifying implications of Robert Downey Jr. stepping back into the franchise, or are they just hoping audiences hand-wave the resemblance so they can cash in on the nostalgia?
Fans are already tearing their hair out coming up with theories, but before that answer is revealed when Doomsday hits theaters on December 18, 2026, Marvel Studios is already soft-launching another mystery for Avengers: Secret Wars.
Per Deadline, Noah Jupe has joined the final film in The Multiverse Saga of the MCU in an important but undisclosed role. Is this a new member of the X-Men or another superhero character?
Most moviegoers will recognize the English star from his breakout turn as Marcus Abbott in the hit horror hits A Quiet Place and its 2021 sequel, where he held his own alongside Emily Blunt and John Krasinski.
Beyond dodging sound-hunting monsters, Jupe earned serious critical props and an Independent Spirit Award nod for his raw, emotionally heavy performance as a young Shia LaBeouf in the 2019 indie biopic, Honey Boy.
At 21, Jupe is of similar age as the rest of the X-Men cast - Sadie Sink (24), Kit Connor (23), Samara Weaving (34), Inde Navarrette (25), and Maya Boyd (25).
Interestingly enough, Sink and Jupe previously starred together in a West End revival of Romeo & Juliet.
Conflicting social media reports and news stories swirl about the start date of filming on Avengers: Secret Wars but the production has already started filming or is expected to begin very shortly. It is currently slated to hit theaters on December 17, 2017.
Joe and Anthony Russo are once again directing the pic, which is expected to film behind closed doors on the Pinewood Studios lot in London, England.
Michael Waldron developed the overarching story outline for the movie before the Russos boarded the project. His script was then reworked by Stephen McFeely. More recently, Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers were also brought on to help shape the massive ensemble action pic.
Since Marvel is keeping his exact character strictly under wraps for now, the floor is officially open for wild speculation. Is Jupe gearing up to join the MCU's mutant lineup, or is he stepping into a completely different, top-secret role?
