Reports are coming in that composer James Horner was killed when the plane he was piloting crashed 60 miles off the coast of Santa Barbara. By all accounts Horner was an experienced pilot, but we have no information on the circumstances surrounding the accident. Sylvia Patrycja, one of the passengers on the plane and Mr. Horners assistant, had this to say on facebook.
"We have lost an amazing person with a huge heart and unbelievable talent,He died doing what he loved. Thank you for all your support and love and see you down the road."
James Horner is credited as composer on 158 movies dating back to 1978's The Watcher. His final two films will be Antoine Fuqua’s Southpaw and the Chilean miner film The 33.
