"We are re-engineering the turtles for a new generation," proclaims Waltz.

Tom Waltz gives a small idea of the art-work of the new comics, mentioning the want to bring it back to a more gritty Mirage style. Also, Waltz talks about a new villian for spilter named "Old Hob," and what we can expect to see in the first few issues.

I have been a fanboy of the turtles since issue 1 in black and white. Waltz' new character sounds interesting, and I will be looking forward to a return to a more gritty style of the turtles. What do the rest of you think? Leave your opinions in the comment section.

This looks exiting. The Old Hob thing reminds me of the 80's show.

I can't wait to read these new comics, especially with Eastman attached...I'm also very excited for the new cartoon coming out next fall. Nickelodeon has produced such great cartoons like Invader Zim and AAAHHH, Real Monsters, I'm excited to see how they handle the turtles. Most are a little irked about the changes, but I think it is needed, so the same story isn't repeatedly hit over the head. April being a teenager showing the turtles the world for the first time is intriguing, and also the idea of each turtle having distinct differences, like don's gap is also interesting. Thanks for being the first to comment, and I would be interested to hear more of what you think.
