Spider-Man: Brand New Day Concept Art Confirms Spider-Sense Visual Was Cut From The Movie

Newly released Spider-Man: Brand New Day concept art confirms that Marvel Studios considered portraying the wall-crawler's Spider-Sense in a more comic-accurate visual manner on screen.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has been hailed by many fans as one of Peter Parker's best solo outings and by far his most amazing MCU-set adventure.

Much of the praise is for the comic-accurate costume and thrilling web-swinging scenes. However, like Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, this latest movie handles Peter's Spider-Sense in a largely subdued manner.

Similar to when he used his "Peter-Tingle" to take down Mysterio, Spidey's danger-warning power is a big part of how he combats Jean Grey in this story. However, there are no slow-motion shots—as seen in Sam Raimi's trilogy—and never a visual representation of what Spider-Man's Spider-Sense "physically" looks like.

In the newly released Spider-Man: Brand New Day - The Art of the Movie book, several pieces confirm that filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton and Marvel Studios considered a visual way to showcase Spider-Sense in action.

Clearly inspired by the comics, this might just have been the cherry on top of the already delicious cake that was Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

The movie passed $2 billion this weekend, becoming the second-fastest title to reach the milestone. It now ranks as the fourth-highest-grossing domestic movie of all time behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($936.6 million), Avengers: Endgame ($858.3 million), Spider-Man: No Way Home ($814.8 million), and ahead of Avatar ($785.2 million) with a spectacular $785.8 million.

How much higher can the movie go? It's still too soon to say. Spider-Man: Brand New Day will, however, go down as one of the biggest superhero movies ever domestically, internationally, and worldwide.

In Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it's a Brand New Day for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control.

But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves - a powerful villain no one can even see. The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.

In our review, we concluded by saying, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day is everything fans could want. Emotional, hilarious, and heartfelt, it’s an action-packed love letter to the comics and one of Spidey’s best big-screen adventures. Spider-Man has never been more amazing."

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is now playing in theaters.

Calling it the 'peter tingle' is one of the more embarrassing aspects of modern marvel and that takes some doing

@SteviesRightFoo - Don't push it... there were much worse things XD

Fury losing his eye to a cat
Rhodey being a Skrull
She-Hulk's entire show
Ironheart's entire show...

I love the MCU but some times they make it hard to defend them

@Urubrodi - The Fury thing was really embarrassing. We were all expecting some epic shit after his remark in TWS and... there's that stupid scene.

@Urubrodi - 🤣 true but I did say 'one of'

@Fogs - Have been rewatching a lot of the MCU lately in preparation for Doomsday and made the poor decision to rewatch The Marvels... It's not an easy watch. One good thing is that Brie Larson looks so good in this movie. But it's kind of about it to be fair... Mrs Marvel's character is really annoying, not my thing, and the Fury reveal is just painful

@SteviesRightFoo - That's true but that doesn't bother me as much as those other things XD Hopefully moving forward they call it his sense and that's about it

@Urubrodi - I was talking about the cat.

I fortunately never watched The Marvels ❤️

I would've loved to see "Spidey-Sense" hit the big screen. The above image is a perfect interpretation.

@KennKathleen - Something like that is used when Strange pushes Peter out of his body in NWH.

@Fogs - True! It was a nice nod, and it made perfect sense due to the out of body experience.

Still, it'd be cool to see it at least once each film. Maybe a blink and you'll miss moment, like McFarlane's Felix the cat inserts.

They also cut out Peter’s entire college years by the way, thats at least two movies worth of deleted scenes just to get Peter back to Michelle Jones
