Adria Arjona Training Video Leads To Renewed Wonder Woman Speculation: "She Ain't Doin' All That For Maxima!"

Onslaught star Adria Arjona has revealed her intense training regimen for Man of Tomorrow in a new video, leading to increased speculation that she's been cast as the DCU's Wonder Woman.

DC Studios seems to be taking the Sadie Sink/Jean Grey approach to Adria Arjona's Man of Tomorrow role, keeping her character under wraps to increase speculation and excitement among fans.

Is she Maxima or Wonder Woman? The latter possibility is what everyone is hoping for, so if the Andor star does play Brainiac's right-hand woman, then there will be a huge amount of disappointment.

The Diana Prince speculation has gone into overdrive today, thanks to a new video that takes a deep dive into Arjona's training regimen, specifically for her role in James Gunn's upcoming Superman sequel.

During the interview, Arjona says, "The excitement of playing the woman that I’m playing gives me everything I need to wake up. Physically it’s exhausting, but it’s all for the greater good."

Fans on social media are now convinced that the actress is playing Wonder Woman, which means she'll take over the role from Justice League star Gal Gadot. Still, it might be wise to temper expectations, particularly as Gunn favours more obscure characters like Maxima over DC's heavy-hitters.

Still, when a fan called Arjona "Wonder Woman" during a recent Onslaught Q&A, the actress coyly replied, "Thank you, guys, so much for coming!" She's certainly not denying the rumours then, but her DCU role remains unconfirmed at this stage.

In Man of Tomorrow, Superman will be forced to team up with Lex Luthor to battle Brainiac, a threat not just to Metropolis but to the entire world.

Written and directed by James Gunn, the movie stars include David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Lars Eidinger as Brainiac, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag, Sr., Aaron Pierre as John Stewart, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, and Milly Alcock as Supergirl.

Andre Royo, Matthew Lillard, Sinqua Walls, and Adria Arjona will also star. However, as we mentioned above, we still don't know whether the latter is playing Maxima or Wonder Woman. There's also speculation that Eva De Dominici is playing one of the characters, and there's always a chance the Diana Prince rumblings don't pan out. We'll have to wait and see.

Man of Tomorrow arrives in theaters on July 9, 2027.

SOMEONE is playing Maxima.

And Diana will have to be cast.

I'm quite happy to have Eva De Dominici and Adria Arjona playing these roles no matter which way around they are.

Also, Gunn never met a c-list character he didn't want to make a-list. Maxima will be in more movies than just MOT...

I love how all these so-called comics fans don't like characters that people who don't read comics are unaware of. Maxima's a cool character. Not everybody needs to be super famous to make the story better.

I'm more invested in what the costume will look like when they eventually cast WW

Considering the current mess that's the DCU, what's the point of burning a great actress on an universe with an expiry date? Am I supposed to be excited with these news?

@Urubrodi - the "expiry date" is 2035.

The first we'll hear of any reboot is 2036.

I think she's fine.

@UltimaRex - She's not Oscar worthy, but she was solid in Andor, for a CBM she is more than enough

She's the wife of Jason Momoa, who's a buddy of Gunn, and the cosplay version of Lobo. Of course she's WW. You guys think that the role went to the best audition? Be thankful that Gunn's wife wasn't picked as Diana. Maybe she didn't want to dye her hair...

Adria looks great!!.

She may be playing Wonder Woman (and if so then I welcome it) but I do hate this thought that she couldn’t possibly be working this hard for an obscure character like Maxima because why not?.

Honestly if she is Maxima then i commend her more for working as hard & intensely as she seems to be…

Plus she can still be excited about playing that character since Gunn’s version could be badass & cool so let’s not dismiss Maxima.

Anyway , can’t wait to see her in Man of Tomorrow regardless of who she is playing!!.

@TheVisionary25 - It would be nice if they took some cues from Abs WW this go round as studios tend to cherry pick at times for these projects, but I think she'd be an excellent choice either way, but I'm biased as an Andor fan.

She has NO CONTRACT. That tells EVERYTHING She's a cameo.THATS IT!! Not Story, No Backstory, & NO STORY GOING FORWARD Why would I watch a film from a LAME DUCK Director & this is his exit. She's a Wonder Woman with no script. With all these ppl in this movie whats the script for Corenswet....? he probably says "Im Human Like You," Before getting kicked in the nuts again or bitch slapped.

I feel like she has to be WW at this point. While Gunn does favour more obscure/smaller characters, they wouldn't be keeping her role so under wraps if it was Maxima. No one outside for the super nerds know who that is. Shit I read comics, unlike most here and I didn't even know her lol.
