THOR: THE DARK WORLD: Marvel Studios Concept Artist Andy Park Reveals Amazing Alternate Malekith Designs
Christopher Eccleston played Malekith in Thor: The Dark World but these alternate designs are so much better than what we got in the movie itself, it's not even funny! Hit the jump to check them out...
Thor: The Dark World was enjoyable enough but with Game of Thrones director Alan Taylor at the helm, many fans expected a movie which would be considerably better. Malekith, in particular, was wasted and has now become one of the most underwhelming and forgettable Marvel villains to date.
Much of that can be blamed on how bland his plan was but in terms of appearance, Malekith was every bit as disappointing. However, things could have been a lot better for the iconic Thor baddie had concept artist Andy Park had his way. As you can see below, he created some much better designs for the character before the sequel was released which Marvel decided against using for some reason.
As Park notes, these designs are much closer to what we're used to seeing in the comic books and Malekith would have looked far more formidable had Marvel stuck to that. What do you guys think?
