Prime Video has shared a first look at the long-awaited second season of The Terminal List, offering an action-packed preview of what's to come for James Reece (Chris Pratt) as he continues his never-ending quest for revenge.

The new season will adapt True Believer, the second novel in Jack Carr's best-selling series, which promises to put Reece on a journey of violent redemption, finding a new purpose after finishing his list. While the streamer isn't forthcoming with details on what's to come, the book's synopsis teases,

"When a bomb goes off during a holiday fair in London, the body count is horrific and the nation’s market goes into a tailspin. This, it turns out, is just the beginning of a series of coordinated and murderous attacks against the whole of the Western world. As the scope of the mayhem grows ever wider, pulling in country after country, the United States goes on the offensive. Who is pulling the strings? What is their motive? And most important of all, how can the attacks be stopped before bloodshed and economic free fall bring America and her allies to their knees?

There is just one man who stands a chance of answering these questions. Former Navy SEAL James Reece is the only crucial connection to a shadowy former Iraqi commando who could provide leads the CIA desperately needs. Reece might be America’s last hope. Unfortunately, he is also America’s most-wanted domestic terrorist. To rein him in, a bargain is struck and Reece becomes the reluctant tool of the United States government, traveling the globe to target terrorist leaders and unraveling a geopolitical conspiracy involving a traitorous CIA officer and a sinister assassination plot with worldwide repercussions. There is always another true believer out there willing to kill for his cause. James Reece will be there to stop him."

The new season will come nearly four years after the first season. It was considered a massive success upon its debut and ultimately spawned a prequel series titled The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, which saw Chris Pratt and Taylor Kitsch reprise their roles as James Reece and Ben Edwards, respectively.

True Believer is the second of seven released James Reece books from Jack Carr, with the eighth book due out sometime next year. Carr also penned a prequel novel, Cry Havoc, which follows James' father Tom Reece. The whole main series is as follows:

  • The Terminal List (2018)
  • True Believer (2019)
  • Savage Son (2020)
  • The Devil's Hand (2021)
  • In the Blood (2022)
  • Only the Dead (2023)
  • Red Sky Mourning (2024)
  • State of Exile (2027)

Chris Pratt returns to headline the series, with a supporting cast of Tom Hopper, Constance Wu, Dar Salim, Luke Hemsworth, Gabriel Luna, Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Martin Sensmeier, Arnold Vosloo, Jeremy Bobb, and Shiraz Tzarfati, amongst others.

The Terminal List season two starts streaming on October 21!

Watch the official teaser trailer below:

From the best-selling novels of the same name, The Terminal List centers on Navy SEAL Commander “James Reece” (Chris Pratt) as he battles unknown conspiratorial forces seeking to upend the world order. This season comes from Jack Carr's second novel, True Believer, where he puts “James Reece” on a journey of violent redemption, finding a new purpose after finishing his list. The psychological revenge thriller of Season One opens up into a globe-trotting espionage thriller taking Reece across the Indian Ocean, Southern and Northern Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. Joined by returning fan favorites like “Raife Hastings” (Tom Hopper), “Katie Buranek” (Constance Wu), “Mohammed Farooq” (Dar Salim), “Jules Landry” (Luke Hemsworth) and newcomers like “Freddy Strain” (Gabriel Luna), Reece will uncover a conspiracy that reaches from Moscow to Langley and ties into his own family's history.

Season Two also features an expanded international cast including Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Martin Sensmeier, Arnold Vosloo, Jeremy Bobb, Shiraz Tzarfati, and more.

Building on the standard set in Season One, authenticity remains a core pillar of The Terminal List. Executive Producer and former Navy SEAL Jared Shaw and Executive Producer and former Army Ranger Max Adams oversee the action and authenticity work, joined by military veterans contributing as writers, actors, on-set technical advisors, and directors — including former Navy SEAL Ray Mendoza (Warfare). The series continues its commitment to portraying the mindset, brotherhood, and moral complexity of Special Operations with respect and realism.

Cool , looks like it could be fun and certainly has a hell of a cast…

The first season was decent and I thought Dark Wolf was better (nice to see Mo and Raife from there in this) so I’ll give S2 a shot!!.
