The booth is a lifelike recreation of Merle Dixon handcuffed to the roof of the department store and struggling to free himself while hordes of walkers enter the building. In the third picture, you can actually see the walkers trying to force their way onto the roof. All that was left of Merle at the end of the first season was his chopped of hand but i am sure the rest of him will surface again in the second season.
