DC Studios and HBO have released a teaser for next week's episode of Lanterns, and it looks like it's all kicking off as the series passes its midway point.
We have heard that episode 5 is the standout of the seven episodes shown to critics, and the hour is also expected to wrap up the events of the 2016 timeline.
A confrontation between Hal Jordan and John Stewart has been building, and after the veteran ring-slinging hero takes extreme measures to draw out the Manhunter by putting his trainee's life in danger, it looks like an understandably furious Stewart is going to lay a beating on his "mentor."
We also see Zoe Macon - who does seem to be the Manhunter (unless there's more than one?), despite speculation that this may have been a misdirect - arrive just in time to save John... or does she? A brief shot shows someone placing what appears to be a drop of blood in John's (presumably) eye.
Could this be Zoe or possibly Antaan, who many believe is actually Atrocitus, using Red Energy to revive or even resurrect Stewart?

Lanterns is going from strength to strength in viewership.
According to Variety, episode 3 averaged 10 million viewers globally and 7 million viewers in the U.S. after three days of viewership. This marks a series high for the DC Studios/HBO Max show (the pilot episode has now attracted more than 20 million viewers worldwide), which ranks among the top five series launches in the platform’s history.

The series is executive produced by Mundy, Lindelof, James Gunn, Peter Safran, King, Ron Schmidt, and Hawes. Based on the DC comic characters from Green Lantern.
The series stars Kyle Chandler, Aaron Pierre, Kelly Macdonald, Garret Dillahunt, Poorna Jagannathan, Laura Linney, Jason Ritter, Ulrich Thomsen, Nathan Fillion, J. Alphonse Nicholson, and Jasmine Cephas Jones.
The series follows new recruit John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) and Lantern legend Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler), two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.
