Marvel's THE DEFENDERS Is Officially Certified "Fresh" On Rotten Tomatoes
Iron Fist was the first of Netflix's Marvel TV shows to be met with a negative response from critics but it appears as if The Defenders restores this corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to greatness.
The Defenders hit Netflix just a few short hours ago and fans are finally able to delve into the show they've been waiting for since 2014 when Marvel made their plans for Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist clear. While critics have claimed that things get off to a slow start before the heroes come together to battle The Hand, it's clearly been well-received as the show has been Certified Fresh!
With a score of 78%, the critics consensus says that, "Marvel's The Defenders further develops well-known characters in an action-packed arc whose payoff packs more than enough of a punch to offset its flaws." Reviewers were given access to only four of eight episodes so it's going to be up to us to decide how much of a triumph the series is. Stay tuned this weekend for more on The Defenders.
