Tyrese Gibson (Annapolis, pictured) gave IESB this update on the Luke Cage film.

Reportedly, Gibson has met with Marvel Studios head Avi Arad and is very excited and committed to this project. He's currently waiting for a second draft of the script.

John Singleton (Boyz in the Hood, Shaft) will direct from a script by Ben Ramsey (The Big Hit).

In the comics, Luke Cage is sent to prison on a false charge and undergoes an illegal experiment which makes him super-strong and resistant to damage. He escapes and sets up a Hero for Hire practice in Harlem.
