So i bought Batman Year One on Blu-Ray last night. And for the first time ever I have to say that I didn't make it through the whole thing. (side note I will be trying to watch it again today.)I think the animation looks good and the story sticks to the book as much as possible. My gripe is with the voice actors. They sound really low and not much life into them. I had to turn my volume up to 90 to hear them clearly. I don't know if they were trying to go for a mellow tone and sad or they were just lazy. Eliza Dushku is barely comprehendable. Ben Mckinzie should never be allowed to voice act for batman again. Repeat ever. Bryan Cranston was amazing as Jim Gordon. He seemed energized and really into the character. The other ones not so much. I like how they made Selina Kyle a tough street girl who isn't afraid of the batman. I love the action of the film. I know I am spoiled by him but just sign Kevin Conroy to a exclusive deal to always voice batman. He is worth the money and would have made this movie a 9/10. because of this I can only give it 6 1/2 out of 10. and that kills me because I am a die hard batman fan. Next for me to play arkham city and I am really hoping it meets all my expections. Thanks for reading.

Watched most of it online, last night, and I have to agree. I could barely hear the voices with my speakers up all the way. Guess that's why I couldn't finish it. Under the Red Hood and All Star Superman remain my favorites so far.

under the redhood was pretty awesome, all star... i cant get over the short red cape, but overall the movie was pretty damn good, my favorite would have to be public enemies, and apocalypse... but on with year one, tried watching it felt like i had a.d.d., kept getting distracted never finished it

Batman fan to Batman fan, trust me- Arkham City will knock your socks off.

I'm bummed to hear this movie misses the mark. voice acting, pacing, I've heard from several places that it just isn't very good.
