Series finale! He pulls a knife, she pulls a gun. He sends one of hers to the hospital, she sends one of his to the morgue – THAT’S the Hit-Girl way. Mindy’s had it up to HERE with that thing called “restraint” and pays the mafia a long-overdue visit. Also: Red Mist faces his final super-villain training test. A limited edition variant by Bill Sienkiewicz will be released for this issue.

Farkosaurus, I agree I hate this style to me it is just being lazy and doing one quarter of the job. When JR JR first came on the scene his art was clean and crisp rivaling that of his father or George Perez if the right inker accompanied the work.

What he's been doing for the last decade is garbage to me.

And ultimately trash is only trash

he's gotta come up with a new way for us to look at hit-girl. the cool factor of a little girl bad ass killer has long worn off by now.

the series is no doubt fun, but the "i'm so cute and deadly it's shocking you right? right? right?" stuff is just way too forced and beat to death after 3 volumes (or whatever) and a film.

if he wants to really make this character one to be remembered, then he's gotta take her to an organically unexpected place.

we know shes smaller and younger and cuter and deadlier and more skilled than everybody else in the kick-ass world. we've seen her take down dozens of villains at a time, and ones who are 5 times her size.

DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT and memorable with her millar - otherwise she's gonna end up as nothing special.

How in hell did they get a Rob Liefeld-style gun in the variant issue cover is beyond me. Unless it's a parody.

@Farkosaurus - Man.... You said everything I think about JRJR. I'm really sad by seeing that hit-girl head. He was one of my favorites back when he did daredevil and punisher. I'm not reading many comics nowadays and didn't see his downfall.

He was my reference specially regarding perspective and equipment / guns.

yeah a blade to the crotch would definitely put a dampener on your day,

You know what, i'm gonna defend JRJR here. I respect that he's drawing in a stylised way. It is comics after all. it gives kick ass a specific flavour. it's not generic. and i like it

Yeah, his style is exactly what drew me to his work. It has a Frank Miller vibe but more detailed. But he's not trying anymore, indeed.
