Anti-Islam Ads Defaced With Images Of Marvel's New Ms. Marvel, KAMALA KHAN
Anti-Islam ads have been appearing on buses in San Francisco in response protesters and fans of Marvel’s Kamala Khan have used the hero's image to deface these ads throughout the city. Hit the jump to check it out.
On January 9th banners purchased by blogger Pamela Geller’s American Freedom Defense Initiative went up on buses, and features an image of Adolf Hitler and Palestinian Muslim leader Haj Amin al-Husseini. The adds carry the headline, “Islamic Jew-Hatred: It’s In The Quran,” the and encouraged an end to aid to all Islamic countries.
In response people have begun to deface these ads with the image of Kamala Khan. The Muslim Pakistani-American teen from New Jersey isn't all that covers up these ads, as messages like “Free Speech Isn't A License To Spread Hate.” now replace the Anti-Islamic headline.
