Last year, Marvel attempted to appease dissatisfied fans by returning to original numbering and bringing back "Legacy" heroes. Unfortunately, they had alienated so many readers that it didn't make much of a difference, hence why the plan is to now return to launching new #1s while simultaneously relaunching a number of books. Among them are Avengers, Black Panther, and, uh, Venom.
In fairness, these all sound really good as the big three - Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor - are reunited in Avengers and T'Challa takes his adventures to outer space in the relaunched Black Panther.
Venom, meanwhile, will seemingly pit the symbiote against Eddie Brock in a series which definitely sounds like it will be more entertaining than the upcoming movie.
