Captain America was transformed into an agent of Hydra by the Red Skull and a Cosmic Cube but we've since learned that there may be more to his transformation than meets the eye. Another Steve Rogers seems to be running around in what many believe is the Cosmic Cube itself and now Marvel is promising to reveal what's going on with the Star Spangled superhero in issue #9 of Secret Empire.
"When Steve Rogers was revealed to be an agent of Hydra due to the manipulations of Red Skull, the Marvel Universe was rocked to its core. Now, it’s the moment fans have been waiting for – and you’re not going to want to miss this reveal," they tease. "What is the secret of Steve Rogers? And how will it affect the Marvel Universe as we know it? Head to your local comic shop this August to find out!" They've also released the cover for the issue; who could "Classified" be? Time will tell!
Either way, Secret Empire looks set to finally pull back the curtain on what's going on with Captain America, something fans unhappy with his villainous turn will no doubt massively appreciate.
