Elizabeth Olsen On Advantage Of Playing Scarlet Witch "Back-To-Back" In WANDAVISION And DOCTOR STRANGE 2

WandaVision star Elizbeth Olsen has opened up on why it's been advantageous to play the Scarlet Witch "back-to-back" across that series and the film, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness!

The next few years in the Marvel Cinematic Universe promise to be huge for the Scarlet Witch, and that's something Elizabeth Olsen is extremely excited about. After the trauma she went through in the last two Avengers films, Wanda's powers will be explored in WandaVision before her story continues in Sam Raimi's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

The Direct has shared some new quotes from Olsen in which she talks about playing Wanda "back-to-back" across the two Marvel Studios projects.

"I've spent the last year with Wanda," the actress says. "And it's actually incredible to go back-to-back because I feel I can contribute so much more now." What exactly she means by that is up for debate, but Olsen has clearly been given the chance to better familiarise herself with the Scarlet Witch in WandaVision, and that's going to heavily factor into the Doctor Strange sequel.

That's not overly surprising, of course, but it could be taken as confirmation that the Disney+ TV series is lclosely linked to that movie, backing up Kevin Feige's previous comments that what we'll see on the streaming service will be essential viewing if you hope to understand those big screen stories.

Whether Wanda will be a hero or villain in the Sorcerer Supreme's next solo adventure is another mystery, though Strange is rumoured to cameo in WandaVision at some point, so we'll see!
