‘Captain America’ Could Have ‘Titanic’-Like Time Line

‘Captain America’ Could Have ‘Titanic’-Like Time Line

What I think would be the most sensible and fitting way to open and close ‘The First Avenger’…

Okay, so like in ‘Titanic’ (almost exactly), we are in present times. Nick Fury and some S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents are down in the Arctic Ocean in a submarine looking for…something. One of the newb Agents asks Fury what they’re looking for, and he explains that they are looking for someone; a hero once known to the world as ‘Captain America’. The Agent (being the newb he is) asks who Cap is, and…

OPENING CREDITS: News clippings and early footage of Steve Rogers / Captain America, Nazi Regimes, World War II, Hitler, the Great Depression, etc.

Then the REAL first scene is the beginning of Steve Rogers’ story. Then after the whole freezing in the ice ‘Alice-going-down-the-tunnel-to-Wonderland-type’ scene, we are back in the present and Nick Fury finds Cap in the ice and S.H.I.E.L.D. unthaws him. Big freak out scene and Fury calms him down and shows him around the new world. After a good soul-searching-‘Dust in the Wind’-scene, Steve agrees to join The Avengers and…

CREDITS. After the credits…very, very subtle hint on the ‘Avengers’ villain. A couple possibilities could be:

Bruce Banner is training or exercising out in the middle of nowhere when he is approached by a mysterious man with a familiar voice…‘Dr. Bruce Banner…how would you like to finally stop running?’

Or…

Nick Fury is urgently brought onto the main deck of the Hellicarrier when someone informs him that… ‘Col. Fury…they’re here.’

So it seems like this is the most logical way to really introduce Captain America to today’s world without having to either rush it in the first 10-20 min of the movie or have him whine and moan about it for the whole movie. The Avengers shouldn’t be wasting any time with any of the character’s individual problems. The conflicts should affect the entire team, basically. So, what do you think? (Bonus: 2 Fan-Posters!!!)

Hellz YES to the second WORLD WAR II CAP!

He better look like that, coz if they keep the modern power ranger type outfit for WWII its gonna suck!

Awesome posters!

As for COL FURY, why can't we have him the son of SGT FURY from the Howling Commandos!

Makes perfect sense than an ageless ULTI FURY lol!

Great work dude, EPIC!

Great ideas but i think their gonna spend 90% of the film in the past. Thats the way the set it up with the Howling Commandos and the invaders, im sure they'll place most of the film in the past.

Plus the director said the film was going to have present time book-ends and i think its going to play out like this: present day Fury finds Captain America in ice and he begins to tell the story, Cut to scrawny Steve Rogers and he goes thru his journey there, Then we cut to SHIELD and Fury in the present day walking up Rogers and he goes thru his freak out cus of the world he is in and Fury explains the situation and Rogers agrees to join the Avengers.

Or it could play out, however unlikely, like it did in the film Memento. Where it cuts from the past and present almost thru every scene. It could start in the present where Fury finds Cap and then to past where it shows scrawny Rogers, then to present where America wakes up and freaks, then to past where he goes thru Super Soldier program and then present etc....

Either way would be fine with me really but im kind of dying to get any footage from Captain America, or Thor for that matter :)
