Here is the line up as promised based on how you voted:

Director: JJ Abrams
Producer: Christopher Nolan, Emma Thomas
Writer: Story (David S. Goyer, Christopher Nolan) Screenplay (David S. Goyer, Jonathan Nolan)

Here is the cast as promised based on how you voted:

Henry Cavill as Kal-El/Clark Kent/Superman
Rachel McAdams as Lois Lane
Billy Zane as Lex Luthor
Anton Yelchin as Jimmy Olsen
Ed Harris as Perry White
(Voice Actor) as CGI Brainiac (based on the Animated version)
Jeff Bridges as Jonathan Kent
Meryl Streep as Martha Kent (Meryl tied with Helen Mirren but as she is American, she takes prescidence)

Most of this cast is what I had in mind, aside from Lois, Lex and Jonathan. I would have preferred Olivia Wilde as Lois, Ralph Fiennes as Lex and Bruce Greenwood as Jonathan.

Also, somebody did point out in the POLLING BOOTH that JJ Abrams would be unable to direct this movie because he is directing Star Trek 2, which is due out July 2012, unless he drops out of that in favor of this but that is unlikely. Ridicoulus casting choices. Only good acting choice here was Billy Zane, to a degree. Brandon Routh for Superman and Zoey Dechanel as Lois Lane!

Funny how you pick the poll that didn't include Brandon Routh. As the other poll about who people want to play Superman that included both Routh and Cavill, Routh got 797 votes and Cavill only got 97. lol.

Sorry Dave, didn't meen to offend, just trying to have an opinion.

On the Martha bit. Batmans American and they used a brit actor for him, that worked out pretty well. I'm just saying you shouldn't pick someone over another just because of their nationality.

In regards to Routh. I thought this was 'CBM's "The Man of Steel" As Decided By The Members!' from the 'Create your own "The Man of Steel"' you know, not the actual Movie. I can't exactly create my own "Man of Steel" without the actor i'd choose in the poll, can i?

Like i said, im just trying to state an opinion. I'm not trying to start any sh!t or 'diss' you in anyway. If i have, then i apologise and will digress.

@LEEE777. Haha, no im not a Wellington boot lover. I am a Smallville fan and think Welling does ok in that, but i know he would suck on the big screen, im not that naive lol.

Oh don't get me wrong, i think Cavill would do a great job and that pic of him in the suit you posted a few posts up makes him look badass (for lack of a better word). I lean more towards Routh because i think Cavill looks too young, i know theres only a couple of years between them but Routh looks more, well, grown up! lol.

Superman is older...but only by a few years...just by virtue of the fact that Superman came "onto the scene" before Batman...(1936 vs. 1939)...in the comics, we always see Superman and Batman in their 30's, (they're actually older, but constant reboot and realignment of the cosmos and all that BS effectively shunts them back to their defacto ages...
The ages are a moot point anyway because Superman ages slower than Batman, being Kryptonian...so he would LOOK younger anyway...so playing a 20 something Superman against a 30 something Batman would work in the movies...

Christian Bale is British, he was born in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK. I like Henry Cavil and I could live with it but I would much rather he play Batman/Bruce Wayne.

I'm sure I am in the minority, but I don't give a shit about Superman. The character's boring and too strong to even have a decent bad guy. I hope the movie bombs. Again.

Someone on here said that Routh was an "epic superman" I'm sorry but how the hell was he an epic Superman? He didn't do anything new with the role, just a Christopher Reeve rehash. I know the failure of Superman Returns was stupid Bryan Singer's fault, but still...I don't think we should have any mention of Routh in these polls for the mere fact that he represents a film that nearly re-killed the Superman franchise. I love the Superman character...I've been a Superman-fan my entire life. I hated that the Salkinds killed the Superman franchise for nearly 2 decades and for Superman to return to the big-screen only for Bryan Singer to nearly kill it again. Now the franchise needs a [frick]en reboot because of how badly Superman Returns performed overall with the fans. I say- no more mention of Brandon Routh. I think Henry Cavill looks to be an ok choice for Superman. But my prime choice for Supes would be Josh Hartnett. And of course Billy Zane as Lex Luthor would be [frick]en EPIC.
