Captain America is a fictional character, a superhero that appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in Captain America Comics #1 (March 1941), from Marvel Comics' 1940s predecessor, Timely Comics, and was created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. Over the years, an estimated 210 million copies of "Captain America" comic books have been sold in a total of 75 countries. For nearly all of the character's publication history Captain America was the alter ego of Steve Rogers, a sickly young man who was enhanced to the peak of human perfection by an experimental serum in order to aid the United States war effort. Captain America wears a costume that bears an American flag motif, and is armed with an indestructible shield that can be thrown as a weapon.

Tom Welling

Captain America

Captain America has no superhuman powers, although as a result of the Super-Soldier Serum and "Vita-Ray" treatment, he is transformed from a frail young man into a "perfect" specimen of human development and conditioning. Captain America's strength, endurance, agility, speed, reflexes, durability, and healing are at the highest limits of natural human potential. It has been established that Rogers' body regularly replenishes the super-soldier serum; it does not wear off.

The formula enhances all of his metabolic functions and prevents the build-up of fatigue poisons in his muscles, giving him endurance far in excess of an ordinary human being. This accounts for many of his extraordinary feats, including bench pressing 1100 pounds (500 kg) and running a mile (1.6 km) in little more than a minute. Furthermore, his enhancements are the reason why he was able to survive being frozen in suspended animation for decades. Rogers cannot become intoxicated by alcohol, drugs, or impurities in the air and is immune to terrestrial diseases.[citation needed] There have been many attempts to recreate this formula but after the death of its creator the secrets of creating a super-soldier died with him.

I did have him for Superman, I agree now he will never be Superman, Steve Rogers.

Zack Effron

Rick Jones

Rick Jones was born in Scarsdale, Arizona. He lost his parents at a young age and grew up at an orphanage. He gains notoriety when he accepts a dare to drive out to a bomb testing ground in New Mexico. As luck would have it, the gamma bomb designed by Dr. Bruce Banner is being tested. Dr. Banner pushes Rick into a protective trench, saving his life but absorbing the gamma rays that first transform him into the Hulk. Rick then becomes the sole confidant of the Hulk's true identity.

Kristen Bell

Sharon Carter

Sharon was born in Richmond, Virginia, the daughter of two wealthy Virginians, Harrison and Amanda Carter. She grew up with the stories of her aunt (Margaret "Peggy" Carter) who was a freedom fighter with the French Resistance during World War II. During this time, Peggy worked alongside Steve Rogers, the patriotic hero known as Captain America, on several occasions. The two fell in love despite Rogers never finding out her name, but were separated in the closing weeks of the war. They did not find each other again before Rogers was thought dead, lost in the freezing waters of the North Atlantic.

Inspired by her aunt's adventures, Sharon joined the international security agency S.H.I.E.L.D., and was assigned the code name "Agent 13". By this time, Rogers had been revived from suspended animation, and during one of Sharon's earliest missions, he came to her aid when she came under attack by a mercenary known as Batroc the Leaper. Rogers could not help but notice the remarkable resemblance Sharon bore to his lost love, but did not connect the two. However, the two of them crossed paths again and again, teaming up on several missions against A.I.M., HYDRA, Red Skull, and many others.

Kristen Stewart

Diamondback

Leighton is an athletic woman with no superhuman powers. She has skill in gymnastics, and at pitching small ballistic objects with great accuracy, and at piloting small aircraft. She also has knowledge of general street-fighting techniques, and some jujitsu. Leighton wears a costume of synthetic stretch fabric backed by Kevlar weave, with two biceps-belts and two thigh-belts for carrying throwing diamonds, concealed pockets in the boot tops, boot-heels, glove tops, and brassiere for other throwing diamonds, and throwing diamond earrings. Her personal weaponry consists of throwing diamonds, which are actually 4-inch (100 mm) hollow zirconium octahedrons (though not made of diamond, they are shaped like diamonds) containing various substances; spent uranium, plastic explosives, nitric acid, tear gas, smoke, curare-derived narcotics, etc. Her equipment was originally designed and manufactured by the Trapster, but her later design and manufacture was by the Tinkerer.

Justin Hartley

Usagent

John Walker was born in the fictional town of Custer's Grove, Georgia. He grew up idolizing his older brother, Mike. Mike was a soldier and helicopter pilot who died in the Vietnam War. John wanted to honor his brother's memory by enlisting in the military, becoming a soldier himself.

After John received an honorable discharge from the United States Army, he was told by a friend about the Power Broker, a mysterious individual who gave people superhuman abilities. Walker and his friend received the treatment, which granted the gifts of superhuman physical power.

Corbin Bleu

Falcon

Sam grew up in a tough Harlem neighborhood. His father, a minister, had been killed trying to stop a fight. Sam did his best to try and do the right thing, but when his mother was killed by a mugger two years later, Sam's grief and anger consumed him. His grief and anger consumed his personality, eventually led him down a criminal path. The once-respected community volunteer took on the name of "Snap" Wilson, becoming a racketeer while working for the mob.

In his earliest appearances Falcon exhibits a close bond with his bird Redwing, which in Captain America #174 Professor X confirms as being a paranormal empathic link. The Red Skull later reveals that he had used the Cosmic Cube to create a "super-normal mental link" between Sam Wilson and Redwing. Falcon later recalled the experience, stating "Hurt like hell". Being mentally fused with that falcon. Able to see through his eyes."

Jaime Bergman

Ms Marvel

Ms. Marvel initially possessed superhuman strength, endurance, stamina, flight, physical durability and a limited precognitive "seventh sense". As Binary, the character could tap the energy of a "white hole", allowing manipulation of stellar energies, and therefore control over heat, the electromagnetic spectrum and gravity. Light speed travel and the ability to exist in the vacuum of space were also possible. After Rogue was purged of Danvers' memories and abilities by the mysterious mutant infant,[volume & issue needed] Carol Danvers' memories and abilities were returned to her years later.[volume & issue needed]

Although the link to the white hole was eventually severed, Ms. Marvel retains her Binary powers on a smaller scale, enabling her to both absorb energy and project it in photonic form. The character, however, lacks a constant source of energy to maintain the abilities at their previous cosmic level.

John Cena

D-Man

Dennis Dunphy was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. Dennis becomes an aspiring athlete who receives the strength augmentation treatments offered by Power Broker, Inc. Finding himself too strong now for normal sports, he becomes a professional wrestler and member of the Unlimited Class Wrestling Federation (UCWF) along with other superheroes and supervillains such as the Beyonder, the Thing, and Screaming Mimi. He refuses to throw a fight with the Thing, and was defeated by the Thing in a wrestling match. He was later mentally compelled by the Puppet Master to attack the Thing. Dunphy refuses the Power Broker's order to help kill Ms. Marvel. He revealed his addiction to the Power Broker's drug to the Thing, and went through a painful withdrawal when the Power Broker cut off his drug supply.

Sofia Bush

Sin

Seeking an heir, the Red Skull fathered a daughter with a washerwoman. The woman died in childbirth, and the Red Skull almost killed the child, angry that it was a girl. One of his followers, Susan Scarbo, convinced him not to, telling him she would raise the girl herself as her nanny. The Skull agreed and left the girl (now named Synthia) to be raised by Scarbo, who indoctrinated her with the Skull's views as she grew up. The Skull returned when Synthia was a child and put her in a machine that had her acceleratedly aged into adulthood and gave her superhuman powers.

Matt Damon

Blue Diamond

Elton T. Morrow is an archaeologist who finds a mysterious blue diamond on an expedition to Antarctica. The diamond is a piece of the Lifestone Tree, which powers the alien Chosen Eight of Fate. A German sub attacks Morrow's ship on the way home and Morrow is the only survivor. An explosion shattered the diamond during the battle, forcing innumerable tiny diamond particles into Morrow's body. After he is rescued by a British ship, he finds that the shards of the diamond gifted him with diamond-hard skin, giving him superhuman strength and nigh-invulnerability. Dubbing himself the Blue Diamond, he battles Nazi spies during World War II as part of the Liberty Legion. He retired at the end of the war.

The strange blue diamond particles embedded in Blue Diamond's body have made his skin as strong as a diamond, as well as giving him superhuman strength. After his body was altered by Shanga, Blue Diamond gains the power of flight and the ability to survive in the vacuum of space. The alterations to his body also reversed the effects of aging.

Briana Banks

Madame Hydra: Viper

It is known that Madame Hydra was orphaned as a child in Eastern Europe (Hungary) and that part of her face was scarred at one time, but this is obviously no longer the case. Among twelve other girls, she was taken in by HYDRA and raised by Commander Kraken. For twenty-two years, Viper excelled and became Kraken's best student. She eventually rose through the ranks of HYDRA and frequently came into conflict with Captain America and the organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. She first appeared as a leader of HYDRA under the codename Madame Hydra, and first fought and captured Captain America while trying to contaminate New York City's water supply. She captured Rick Jones to bait a trap for Captain America, and then subdued the Avengers with gas, and battled Captain America again. Some time later, it was revealed that the Space Phantom had exchanged places with her, and her whereabouts at the time were undisclosed. Yes she does porn, but I feel its time to up the anti and do regular movies as like her acting style.

Mads Mikkelsen

King Cobra

Klaus Voorhees was a convicted criminal who was assigned to become the lab assistant of renown medical researcher and humanitarian Professor Shecktor. At the side of the scientist, Voorhees learned a great deal about serpents and chemistry, but soon grew envious of the Schecktor's achievements and the respect he received from his peers. Eventually his jealousy evolved into hatred, and Voorhees decided to murder Shecktor by making a cobra from the lab to bite him. Voorhees would then cause himself to be bitten by the cobra (making the whole incident look like an accident), but he would then consume an experimental antidote for the snake venom. Putting his plan in motion, Voorhees succeeded in murdering Shecktor. Unknown to Voorhees, however, the serpent he chose had been irradiated as part of an experimental process for the immunization of humans against snake venom. The antidote saved Voorhees' life, but the irradiated poison of the cobra endowed him with powers similar to those of a snake. Deciding to use his new abilities for criminal enterprise, Voorhees adopted the costumed identity of the Cobra.

Michael Rosenbaum

The Red Skull

The Red Skull, Johann Schmidt (sometimes spelled Shmidt), was a former Nazi general officer and confidant of Adolf Hitler. He has been closely affiliated with HYDRA and is an enemy of S.H.I.E.L.D., the Avengers, and the interests of the United States and the free world in general. He was physically augmented by having his mind placed into the body of a clone of Captain America, the pinnacle of human perfection. He has been seemingly killed in the past, only to return time and time again to plague the world with schemes of world domination and genocide.

World War II era: John Maxon: Chronologically by publication date, the first Red Skull to appear in the 1940s comics was George John Maxon, an American businessman and Nazi agent who led a ring of spies and saboteurs. He faced Captain America during two of the latter's first missions. A formidable opponent in his own right, Maxon was thought killed during the last encounter, though he would reappear for one last encounter with Captain America in the Silver Age. Maxon was later revealed to be the agent of Johann Schmidt, the true Red Skull.

Hmm, interesting. I haven't seen any of these pics before I don't think, good work on being original.

But I am finding it hard to agree on most of your picks. Tom Welling couldn't even handle Supes let alone Cap America.

Most of the others just don't click for me. Swap Madds for Red Skull though, he would OWN that role.

BTW, check out my massive FLASH fancast below this. Let know what ya think. Cheers!

hartley as u.s.agent he's all wrong

for that part in alot of different

ways, but i do like him as green arrow.

the rest are so far off i wont waste the time

commenting on them!!

welling and bleu just plain suck along

with effron atleast you didnt cast him

with any kinda of powers.. thank goodness.

Um....no!

Why have you got crappy Smallville actors in place of Marvel characters? That doesn't make sense.

Tom Welling is a crappy actor and doesn't really look like Cap.

Zac Efron is a decent actor but isn't right for any CBM role.

Kristen Stewart cannot act to save herself.

Justin Hartley is a bland actor.

It's the same for all of them, there are very few GOOD actors you'e chosen. They're all TV CW rejects.

And John Cena is a WRESTLER man, there should never be a wrestler in a CBM.

LEEE777
LEEE777 - 11/14/2010, 2:50 PM
Ryden @ LMAO???

Zac Efron is a decent actor but Justin Hartley is a bland actor. LMAO dude hahahhahahahaha! ; p

Hell, I'd take even CENA over [frick]ing Efron! : D

(Still, of all the roles Rick fits lol)

.... and I will agree on WELLING lol.

Anyways @ KING. Cool original thinking like some have said up top ^

I wont comment on WELLING and yes have seen him cast as CAP b4, you really don't want my repeat comment on that one lol!

As for the rest... I really like your KING COBRA dude!

Really like, I know your MS MARVEL too, suppose she could play it!

BUSH would play a gr8 SIN and heck I've heard Mike with a German accent, so cool for RED SKULL, he would probably own, well keep the mask on tho!

You know thats the first SKULL right,,, theres been two!

Cast MADS for that one.

I know your FALCON from somewhere??? Tho you should have used a more recent picture than that.

Anything with BANKS in is gonna be a joy (lol) ; P

Nahhh not sure on TWILIGHT, suppose I gotta get over that film franchise and CRAPPER too lol.

Ryden
Ryden - 11/14/2010, 3:11 PM
@LEEE- Um yeah. Efron is actually a decent actor. He has some form of depth to him. He's not great or anything, buit he's passable. where as Justin Hartley IS a shit actor. He's just a TV actor. I still don;t get whay lot of you guys cast crappy CW type actors for these things, I understand they have a bit of a cult following, but that doesn't give them talent.
LEEE777
LEEE777 - 11/14/2010, 3:42 PM
Dude EFRON sucks as an actor wtf lol???? : P

HARTLEY is a better actor than your boy MEYERS how can you say that?

He's about the only one with talent I can actually stand every week on SMALLVILLE, well him and LOIS! : D

We'd be lucky if he gets out that sh1t and makes a decent GREEN ARROW TV show cross between NYPD/CSI and superheroes!
lc
lc - 11/14/2010, 4:24 PM
ooh hell yes hartley all the way altho i love him
as green arrow i think anything with him in it
is sooooo worth it in more ways than one imo.
hartley is more talent than alot of others ive
seen.open your eyes hartley is number one end off.
BLADE4040
BLADE4040 - 11/14/2010, 5:44 PM
Ahh this cast is troubling to say the
least. Welling as Cap...come on man
you gotta BE KIDDING!!

Actually Effron isnt that bad he's more
rounded than Welling, but I wouldnt want
him in a cbm.

Bell and Stewart Im going to just say
NO and leave it at that.

If Hartley could bulk up I think he could
handle the part of U.S.Agent. He's been helping
carry Smallville since he arrived on set!!

Corbin Bleu.. if I used profanities I'd be screaming
them right now!!! This has got to be as bad as your
Welling for Cap pick!!!

I dont know anything about Bergman, but she looks the
part and she's on FIRE like Ms.Marvel!! So if she can
actually act I say OH YEA!!!

Cena would own D-MAN EXCELLENT PICK!!!

I really dont care for he rest of the picks, but
since they're not as major as the one's I just commented on ...Im DONE!!

Didnt agree with most the picks ,but your set-up was
good so I say nice job.

DDD
DDD - 11/14/2010, 7:54 PM
Nice intro bad, bad cast!

Just bad, no better way to put it!
Not tryin' to be a hard ass but these
actors just don't fit (if ya can call
a Rassler an actor!), except maybe for
Justin Hartley!

Man, Cena just cannot act to save a
movie! I don't know why ppl keep
thinking he can???

Efron is just a terrible actor in my
opinion! Don't know how he got to where
he's got in the business? It baffles me!
DDD
DDD - 11/14/2010, 7:57 PM
If ya switch Mads and Michael
it might just work tho'!

But this whole cast just doesn't work!
LEEE777
LEEE777 - 11/14/2010, 10:39 PM
DDD @ I actually agree with BLADE, CENA could pull off D-MAN easy... he not the greatest actor no, but he could play that role perfect! He is better than most of the other actors out there for (BIG) parts, '12 ROUNDS' proves that. Gotta say though, like him for RHINO too, would have DURRAND but DURRAND makes a gr8 CROSSBONES! : P

R @ You got LC'ed! : D

Heh heh.

Yeah DDD @ I've also got MADS as the decoy/first SKULL, he would work, your right man!

And 100% agree... anyone that thinks Efron is a good actor needs their head read, he should [frick] off and do singing or something or stay on the Disney Channel heh heh! : P
Ryden
Ryden - 11/15/2010, 12:30 AM
Nope, Hartley just as dull as the rest of Smallville. I'll admit he's not as bad as Tom Welling or as cheesey as the guy who played Zod. But at the end of the day, he gives these perofrmances that aren't very difficult, most kids on 90210 can do just as good a job. If he IS such a good actor then he needs to show that. Because he hasn't impressed me yet.

As for Effron, I never said he was great but he is tolerable and he is gradually getting better. He actually used to be in the same position as Hartley, being quite dull and couldn't really grab an audience but he's showing more and more signs of maturity in both his performances and his career choices. He's a decent actor, not great, but certainly not a bad actor.

And Meyers? Seriously, are you still obsessed with him LEEE? Does it not matter to you, that over Meyers you would have chosen VIN [frick]ing DISEL. One of the worst screen actors to ever stumble onto frame.

@lc- I've already explained what I think about Hartley. He's nothing special.
lc
lc - 11/15/2010, 7:01 AM
well your only one person and well eougth said there!!
oh and another thing your nothing special yourself!
and vin disel is also a good one!!
at least there in moives and tv what are you besides bullshit that is?.
Ryden
Ryden - 11/15/2010, 7:55 AM
@lc- Wow calm down. We're only having a debate you don;t need to go all psycho on is. And no he isn't anything special, he could very easily be replaced with any other blonde 90210 actor. Until he blows us all away with a performance he'll remain in mediocrity. I don't think I ever claimed I was better than Diesel or Hartley, but in the world of acting, Vin Disel is a terrible terrible actor. Anyone who says otherwise is just lying, or is too dumb to see that he can't act. That's like saying Justin Beiber has talent. It's just wrong.
BLADE4040
BLADE4040 - 11/15/2010, 9:13 AM
DDD: usually my friend we're standing on
the same side of the fence...what's gotten
into you? lol I guess it's just me and Leee
on this one bud.

Cena would own this part because you do
realize Dennis Dunphy a.k.a D-Man was a
pro wrestler before the Power Broker
pumped him full of drugs that gave him
his powers.

D-Man isnt a diffcult character
to portray...Cena isnt going to win any
awards for his acting, but he can handle
the simple action role. Playing D-MAN
he wouldnt need to be OSCAR worthy..
be big he is,have a wrestling background
he does, and able to remeber a handful of
lines he can.

thunderguy123 - 11/15/2010, 9:23 AM
ryden: i agree hartley is way better than

welling, but i disagree that hartley is boring.

i mean he's playing green arrow that character

is lame and in his own way hartley has brought

that character to life with a little bit of fire

so to speak. hartley has been one of the reasons

i continue to watch snoreville after lex left.

those two to me carried the show and steal the

scene anytime they're opposite welling(the so-called
star).

to each his or her own we all have different opinions

i just disagree with yours sir.
