Green Lantern set to be worst money loser in superhero movie history.

Though it's not surprise Warner Bros. Green Lantern is considered the worst superhero movie of 2011, but could it be considered the worst superhero movie ever?

If you go only by money (and why else do they make movies?)
Green Lantern is in a position to be the new standard for what a bad superhero movie is.
If you go by critical acclaim then, these are also some of the worst of the worst.

The top 5 biggest money losses* are :

#5 Superman IV: The Quest for Peace.

at negative 1.5 million and a rottentomatoes rating of 10%

#4 Steel

at negative 14 million and a rottentomatoes rating of 12%

#3 Catwoman

at negative 18 million and a rottentomatoes rating of 10%

#2 Punisher: War Zone

negative 25 million and a rottentomatoes rating of 27%

#1 Green Lantern

Negative 53 million and a rottentomatoes rating of 26%

Making it potentially the Biggest Loser in comic book movie history.Four out of five are DC owned characters. What does it say that Warner Brothers either makes gold with its franchises or dung?

And now that Marvel has reclaimed the Punisher. What has it really gotten back but its weakest movie character?

*totals were arrived at by taking production costs and subtracting the gross of a film from it. These were the worst of the films that have a stated production cost. Only superhero movies were considered not all comic book films. Totals were rounded off cause I wanted to.
