The God of Thunder actor Chris Hemsworth and his pregnant wife Elsa Pataky had two near death experiences while filming his newest movie, In the Heart of the Sea.

Hemsworth and his pregnant wife were aboard a ship that wrecked ashore, then the Thor star narrowly escaped a typhoon. The typhoon lead to a massive mudslide that tragically killed five in the Canary Islands.

The cast and crew of Ron Howard's upcoming movie, In the Heart of the Sea, has been plagued with problems.

Ron Howard tweeted about the incident, saying:

“Rare heavy rain in La Gomera forced us to our small converted cover stage… Then our access road began to flood… Soon we were advised to wrap and evacuate. Pronto. Asap”

Chris Hemsworth will also star alongside his fellow Avenger Robert Downey Jr in the highly anticipated Avengers 2 - Age of Ultron in 2015
