STAR TREK SATURDAY | DAY SEVEN- STAR TREK GENERATIONS

Well after reviewing the original series with the original cast, it is now time to dive into the The Next Generation films of the mid-to late 90s, staring with Star Trek Generations; a very divisive Trek film.

Now that I've reviewed all six films with the original crew, its time to jump ship and head on over to the Next Gen films. With Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, it was a great send off for everyone's favorite space family and honestly there was really no need for a continuing story line. The old crew of the enterprise had lived their adventure; they've told their story. Now it was time to pass the torch to the Next Gen crew and unfortunately, the studios couldn't make another Star Trek film without shoe-horning in Captain Kirk.

Generations isn't a terrible movie, in fact its quite good until its final act rolls around. The film's execution echoes that of The Motion Picture, which was released 15 years prior. That in its not the best way to kick off a series of films. Had Generations been written better, then the success of the TNG movies would've been much higher but instead the film is just kind of a mixed bag. Full review below:

What did you think of Generations?
Is it as bad as most people say?
Or is it a hidden gem?

I'm not a huge Comic Book Geek, but the super hero movie genre has always excited me, and always will. I do not enjoy when people argue over CBMs like they're a religion, but i guess thats how most movie geeks are.

oh and if i had to really pic a side,
i mean really really really had to, then
DC, baby :)

but i really don't care about which is best. they both make me happy
