W's annual Best Performances issue is due out this week, and the mag has released a stunning collection of portraits online. The list is made up of quite a few comic book movie and TV actors and actresses, including the likes of Emma Stone (The Amazing Spider-Man), Natalie Portman (Thor), Ruth Negga (Preacher), Felicity Jones (Rogue One), Amy Adams (Batman V Superman), Adam Driver (The Force Awakens), Mahershala Ali (Luke Cage), and Matthew McConaughey (The Dark Tower).
Obviously they're not all being honored for those particular performances, but most of the movies they appeared in last year are well worth a look.
