Lanterns has received positive reviews from fans and critics, but the show's grounded nature is still dividing opinions. In episode three, Hal Jordan finally suited up in a costume that's a far cry from both the comics and 2011's Green Lantern movie.

Avoiding comparisons to the latter might have been the point, and we now have a closer look at the suit's final design thanks to concept artist Imario Susilo.

Given that there's still no sign of the hero's domino mask—which it appears Hal ditched in 1996 after revealing his identity to the world—it's looking increasingly likely that we won't see it in the HBO series. It has been glimpsed in a photo used in a new report, but that could be it.

"Sharing the final concept art I did for Hal Jordan," Susilo, who also worked on Spider-Noir, wrote on Instagram. "It was such a humbling experience to work with brilliant Costume Designer [Cynthia Summers]. I’ve been a fan of her work for a long time, and I loved her vision from the very beginning—especially how she wanted to establish the tone of the show and bring a grounded, lived-in quality to Hal Jordan."

The artist added, "I’m incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to contribute to bringing her vision for this character to life."

You can take a closer look at Hal's DCU costume in the Instagram gallery below.

In other DCU news, scooper Daniel Richtman is reporting that tickets for Clayface go on sale this coming week. That means we can expect new posters and a final trailer for the R-rated horror movie DC Studios surely hopes will find the same box office momentum as hits like Obsession and Backrooms.

There's just over a month to go until Clayface arrives in theaters, and now feels like the right time to start building excitement for the second and final DCU movie of 2026. Supergirl's struggles have been well documented, but if the James Watkins-helmed movie makes an impact, then that will soon be forgotten.

Lanterns follows new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.

In Clayface, Matt Hagen’s meteoric rise from Gotham street kid to Hollywood leading man is tragically cut short when a local crime boss’s actions leave him horribly disfigured. Abandoned by his team and with nothing left, Matt seeks out a cutting-edge treatment that miraculously returns him to his former self, but also unexpectedly affects his grip on reality, spiralling him down a destructive path of all-consuming revenge.

A new episode of Lanterns premieres on HBO on Sunday night. Clayface will be released in theaters on October 23.

@DocSpock - Disagree, I hear the catering on-set is excellent.

The suit is a low point of the show for me.

I dig the design, I just dislike how it looks on Kyle Chandler, it looks like its 2 sizes too big, and as stiff as a board.
