E! Online recently got their hands on some interesting scoops regarding the next season of television this autumn. These tidbits included a few of our comic book television series, which isn't surprising considering comic book adaptations are flooding the small screen just as quickly as they are your local movie theatre. Lets just hope that the small screen can sustain the large quantity of comic book related content coming its way.

We have seen a surprising large number of familiar villains in the first season of Fox's hit TV series, Gotham. Having already been introduced to the likes of the Penguin, Riddler, Scarecrow, Hush, Poison Ivy and the Dollmaker, a few new additions have been announced for the show's second season as well, such as Hugo Strange and Mr. Freeze. Now it seems that Amygdala will be joining the roster as well. Fox is currently searching for a male actor that is in his 30s and is described as a "hulking mountain of a man, with a bald or shaven head."

Amygdala is a rather obscure villain compared to some of the other characters that have appeared on the show. For those unfamiliar with him, his real name is Aaron Helzinger and he is essentially a hulking, muscular man-child with brute strength but little intelligence. A character named Aaron Danzing appeared in Season 1 of the series, portrayed by Kevin McCormick. Fans have speculated that Danzing could be the show's version of Amygdala but that doesn't appear to be the case.

AMC's The Walking Dead may be set on a post-apocalyptic Earth infested with zombies but that won't stop the show from introducing two brand new characters to the series. The upcoming season will see the debut of Kirk, who is described as "a former blue-collar dude who was pretty straight-laced…until the world changed and he started looking out for No. 1 (himself)." Also debuting is Hilda,"a 'strong woman' who is far from passive." They may be appearing in the show's upcoming season but the real question is how long will they be around?

A while back it was reported that the Agents of SHIELD spin-off that was set to star Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter had been canceled and will no longer be happening. Now it seems as if the project may not be as dead in the water as we thought. When speaking with E! Online, Adrienne Palicki (the actress who plays Bobbi Morse) had this to say: "I think [the show] is still a maybe for sure, but right now, they just didn't have a place for it. They'll find some really fun ways to bring Bobbi in. [Bobbi and Hunter] are Mr. and Mrs. Smith. That's a different dynamic to the show that wasn't there before, so it's fun!" This seemingly confirms that the spin-off is still in the realm of possibility, though don't get your hopes up quite yet. A cancelation was announced for a reason, after all.

There is a chance Aly Michalka, the actress who portrays Peyton Charles, may not be returning for iZombie Season 2. Executive Producer Rob Thomas had this to say, "We adore Aly [Michalka] and we think the show is better when she's in it. We'd love to have more of her. But our episodes do fill quickly, with our case-of-the-week story and our zombie mythology stuff, and we knew we were going to lose her to do a pilot this year, so we had to write her in a way that, if her pilot had gone and she was unavailable this year that it made sense. But her pilot did not go, so she is available in year two and we have high hopes that she's going to be in the show. Because she's not a series regular, we can't control her schedule. We can hope that when we write these episodes for her, that she can and will do them."

Actress Bex Taylor-Klaus, who portrays Sin in Arrow, also may not be returning. When asked about it, Klaus replied, "I don't know yet! It's up to them if they want to bring me back or not, and I'm just here for the ride if they're ready." It should be taken into consideration that Bex Taylor-Klaus does have upcoming projects, the most notable being MTV's television reboot of the Scream franchise.

Arrow, iZombie, Gotham, The Walking Dead, and Agents of SHIELD all return this fall on their various networks.

Welcome, I am Darkknight2149. I am primarily a fan of comic books and their various adaptations, as well as horror and other classic film franchises.

As far as the "DC vs. Marvel" rivalry goes, I'm really not biased when it comes to studios and publishers. Preferences are fine, but I've never understood the basing of opinions purely by the studio/publisher that makes it.
