Star-Lord still doesn't have a confirmed next MCU appearance, but Chris Pratt has a date for his other franchise. The Terminal List Season 2 arrives on Prime Video on Wednesday, October 21st, all eight episodes landing at once, with Pratt back as Navy SEAL Commander James Reece!
Pratt was one of the biggest names missing when Marvel revealed the Avengers: Doomsday cast in its March 2025 chair livestream. Shortly after, he told Collider of his chair, "It was there. I'm sure it was there," and he promised that "the legendary Star-Lord will return, and he will return."
He's got ideas, too. On the Happy Sad Confused podcast this January, Pratt said he has "a really strong vision" for Peter Quill's future. Asked if he'd pitched it to Kevin Feige, he answered "Yep."
Marvel hasn't confirmed Pratt for Avengers: Doomsday on December 18th or for Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17th, 2027, so any Star-Lord cameo discussions are a RUMOR until we get something official out of Marvel…
Back in March 2025, Pratt told Collider he'd be shooting Season 2 "pretty much all year," starting that month, for "about six or seven months." Doomsday filmed from April to September of that same year, mostly at Pinewood in England.
Reece is also Pratt's project behind the camera. He executive produces the series with Antoine Fuqua and showrunner David DiGilio, and he was an executive producer on The Terminal List: Dark Wolf too, the 2025 spin-off led by Taylor Kitsch.
More action could be on the way. Back in July, scooper Daniel Richtman claimed Pratt is being eyed for Danny McBride's G.I. Joe movie, which we covered here. If true, could he be up for the role of Duke?
A few faces from the second season of Terminal List will be familiar to comic book fans. Tom Hopper, Luther from The Umbrella Academy, is back as Raife Hastings. Gabriel Luna, the Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., joins as CIA officer Freddy Strain. And Luke Hemsworth, who played the stage-play Thor in Thor: Ragnarok, returns as Jules Landry from Dark Wolf. Constance Wu and Dar Salim round out the returning core.
The season adapts True Believer, the second book in Jack Carr's Reece/Terminal List series. With his list finished, Reece teams with the CIA to clear his name and go after a terrorist group that has recruited his old friend Mo Farooq, and the synopsis has the plot stretching from Moscow to Langley. Along the way, he hits Mozambique, Northern Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the Indian Ocean.
According to Amazon MGM Studios, 17 military veterans worked on the season, and veterans wrote five of the eight episodes. Ray Mendoza, the ex-SEAL behind Warfare, is among the veterans involved!

I'm a huge fan of Jack Carr's The Terminal List, and its spin-off/prequel books. One of my good friends who happens to be a veteran, and is currently in law enforcement, promised me that I wouldn't be able to put the first book down, and boy was he right! Every book has been better than the last and I'm SUPER excited for this second season.
